Mafia Game: Cheers/Frasier Theme

Martin got a friend investigation on mal. Already been mentioned.

Moar is next on my list if the 2 lynched today pop town.

I'm the lawyer. Forget my name. I saved ML the day he was lynched. Would have saved OMG, but forgot to check thread. Would have saved pcm, but again, forgot to check thread.

So your claim is what exactly? You don't give a name, or what exactly your role does. You say you could have used the power in a couple other cases, but just didn't check back, and now you expect us to believe you are town? That claim is more full of holes than any I have seen in a mafia game so far. So your claim is a vague "that one time the weird thing happened, I did it." Conveniently you waited until last to claim - even though you were around earlier when other people were claiming (I thought laarz was left as well, but apparently he did claim at some point according to Pyro). At this point I think his lack of lynch had something to do with drinks instead of something you did to save him.

Yep, everyone is town, lets go home. The only role reveal that is unclear is Laarz.

Wait, Laarz claimed? I missed that one. If you remember where, could you link the post? If not I will go back and find it later.

What does it matter?

So we just assume that your hand-wavy claim is legit? I definitely am not.

Vote 1: coju

Barely, which is why I said it was unclear:

I'm Bebe Glazer, Frasier's publicist, I'm disliked by most people but I will do anything for my client.

Also, that is a lot of "not checking back" something that would be pretty important if you had that ability.

Maybe the drinks do have something to do with Martin being saved, its a long shot but possible.

Now I got on your scum list as well as coju's. That is interesting considering your MP vote pattern yesterday....
You think the doc is scum? Want to state that outright? I'm going to say once again that at least from my perspective our votes together at the end of day were just because we were all busy earlier. If they did have some agenda with lynching a townie on purpose then that's them, but I certainly didn't.

Let's get some movement. A Vote 2 may follow some time afterwards, but meantime ...

His claim is just too shaky.

Vote 1: coju

D'oh. Stupid lack of posting in full is stupid.

Do we have any reason to believe that Pyro's role claim means he has to be town? Could his claim work equally well with an anti-town alignment to it?

I think I forgot to post about his claim earlier. Yes, Loz is a waiter. That's why I believed Uraj on his claim.

I do think we waiters are all pro town. Solar and Autti were and I know I am. Nothing makes me think flubb or Loz are not.

I had voted coju before and unvoted to give time for discussion. In that time he made a claim, but didn't say who he was or describe his ability. I think it's night for him now, so I won't vote for him right now. But I will tomorrow.

I think he is the mafia counterpart to our ability. What I am thinking is that he can block us if he hits the same person with the same drink. But then we still have a clue on what we do with the spiking....

My own thought was that TC can be a bit Machiavellian in his game-design. I assume TC had some input into Thy's game?

I think it would tickle TC to create a game mechanism that relies on coincidental and convergent action by town and anti-town to achieve an effect. Thus the town waiters acting in concert (but accidentally and unknowingly) with the mafia side to spike a player's drink for whatever effect it might have.

Why not? That sounds exactly like the thinking of a TC to me.

I agree, that is definitely a long shot. For me, coju's claim is just as much of a long shot. Way too convenient of an answer.

So why do you think Moar is scum? I can see being suspicious that one of the masons is scum - 5 is a lot of masons. But to me Moar has been really been trying to work for the town this game. Why is he more suspicious than flubb or Loz, the other two masons?

Do we have any reason to believe that Pyro's role claim means he has to be town? Could his claim work equally well with an anti-town alignment to it?

Nope, I think it could be either. A point in his favor is the reveal - he could have just not said anything about what he was doing.

I can't stop you from thinking what you want to think, but up until this point I had no idea what the difference was between choosing gin over scotch, or wine over beer. Besides the point that I can't even control who gets the drink. I could consistantly pick gin and I (now) know you will deliver it, but I have no idea who its going to be delivered to. You could potentially deliver it to me for all I know.

Concerning my name: Have "you" figured out if the Cheers' players are scum and the Frazier players are town? Or vice versa?
How, exactly, does my name prove me being town? Me leaving it out mean I'm scum? I'm not going to go up and click the little inbox button and go to the pm that thy sent me stating my role.

@me claiming last: Someone had to. So, whoever claims last is scum?

More about my role: I have a chance to stop a lynch. I send in the name of the person who's lynch I want to stop. Has anyone else claimed 'saving' MartinLong? No? Is anyone sad that he didn't die? No? No one will claim that, will they? I'm claiming to have saved MartinLong. I'm claiming that I forgot to check back in the thread to save PCM and OMG. (I would have sent in OMG each time if he was still alive, tbh.) MartinLong was the only person I 100% wanted to save. Especially after MartinL claimed cop. I voted, sure. But I also saved him.

I honestly forgot who the other 2 were, but I've felt iffy about Moar since the mason thing came about. I'm actually less happy with flubb because of his randomness, now that I think about it.

On my Vote 2 of myself earlier, I was getting a little sick of trying to justify myself. Kind of felt like it was the SP game all over again, with my role being brought up every day. I get the feeling that the mafia, might be trying to use my role as justification for the lynch. I know I shouldn't have Vote 2'd myself, but I was just sick of the game. I am going to Unvote myself at the end of this post.

Anyway on the game itself, Caluin Graye seems really scummy. His role is called Angry Ex-Wife, his character was in a nasty divorce with Niles Crane (who in this game was pro-town cop). I am just not convinced by his claim (all lore related information I got from wikipedia, having never watched the series).

Gwaihir
's claim seems a little suspect as well. The role he claimed is essentially an OP coroner. It is plausible, given the reveals, I am just not sure why Thy / TC wouldn't use a standard Coroner.

@coju: So there are no limitations on your ability. Seems a little suspect to me. That said noone else claimed a lawyer ability (but you were conventiently the last to claim).

I think of the above three the person I am most convinced is scum is CG. The bomb thing feels a little pulled together at the last minute as a reason for his character being scum and it doesn't really feel like he has been playing as a bomb. Plus (and I know this is a little bit OMGUS) his votes on me seemed like he was trying to be seen to start a lynch train on an easy target (and he provided no justification other than "he has to go" - seems to me he is concerned I will mess with his NK ability).

Vote 1: Caluin Graye
Unvote 2: Jcakes
