Killed Andy and waiting for somebody to join me and Kestegs, btw Blaze is very efective IIRC, nice pick, I totaly forgot about it.:)
And I added Drystan to the table.

I should have read the characters more carefully - I was thinking of a Blaze/Static build to go through normal but I should try something different since Kestegs already has one!

It's just blaze right now, I won't be putting more than one point in static for sure. Haven't 100% decided on my second skill yet, so feel free to go for whatever you want, won't bother me at all.

@kestegs: I'm not that sold on Blaze as I made a naked Blazer a while ago. I was just thinking it would be a reasonable choice but I'll think about some other options...
 
This is my inaugural blaze sorc, I've heard many people talk about them and this seemed like as good a time as any to try it out. Anyone have thoughts on merc selection? It almost seems like it would be better to go without until NM at least. I'm thinking either act 1 or 3 might work out the best though. :scratchchin:

My most extensive Blaze experience was in Classic, so no merc choice there. Playing in A2 with a merc there wasn't terrible- the monsters congregated toward him, instead of being in perpetual pursuit. Probably a ranged merc is preferable. In this tourney, with a low-level character the merc will probably not be very durable or not be able to kill much.

Jiansonz has a lot of experience with Blaze- it's worth searching on that experience to make the most of it.

My merc on my pally died in 1-2 swings from an enemy....

Gonna try round up act 1 now that it is lunch!

Blessed_One has completed Act 1 safely.

How does this work as a curse:
'You must immediately respec to have zero points invested in Vitality.'
... if we aren't allowed to complete the Den of Evil? I know we could have a skill remaining (quest reward), but I'd hate to forget that and accidently do it. Also, does this mean that all "current" stat points have to avoid Vitality, but future points may go into it?

zgpmf - blessed - may use the normal tome of knowledge.
kestegs - is cursed enough in RL so doesn't deserve it here
drystan - cursed - nihlathak's wrath. you must slay normal nihlathak


if you can include what act/difficulty you just completed and the char lvl it'd be appreciated. carry on lads


Also i just deleted the silly curse that drystan just pointed out. silly corax.

For the no life curse, that was one of the most serious curses. Instead of getting rid of it altogether, how about just changing it to "may not invest any more points in vitality?" That won't require a respec but has serious long-term ramifications for characters.
