How can it be PvP Week 11 already?

Oooh maxicek doesn't love me enough :'(

(that makes sense, didn't know that you had the hosting computer where harry potter used to live)

Hey, that hosting char was very useful today. Max cleared Moor with her merc cause our two firesorc couldn't! (lol) (Max visited Harry Potter)

Day 6.

First day of this pvp week that was not that crowded. Some people joined on a very short time.

Max - firesorc
Grip - firesorc
Delsy - bowa
Nulio - bowa
don't know - bowa
Pyrohemia - paladin mage?
Pyrohemia - some sorc
Mir - boner
Mir - some trap assassin

Today I decided to make firesorc day just like yesterday was necro day. I was very glad I made BerBer CoA backup setup for this sorc, man all those bowazons around... but hey, challenge is challenge. So, used CoA setup with 142 fhr breakpoint and that worked well against bowas. But they were hell strong to beat. I couldn't approach them, whenever I tried I just continued teleporting out of range because some arrows followed me. So, I just spammed from distance at bowas hoping to hit, they did the same to me cause they can't do anything else. That was really game of patience and positioning. Good positioning was very important because having good position to shoot at bowa and having escape route in plan worked all together. So, I just teleported around bowas spamming fireballs, trying to cast hydra near them to spam them. But wasn't effective enough, only for a short time to shoot few fireballs that were usually easily avoided. But hey, I also easily avoided guided arrows following me, so that's fair.

It was quite challenging and interesting to battle bowazons. You can't do mistake, also must play well to spam bowas and not get hit. But it is tough duel for sure. And long. I usually battled either Nulio or Delsy in there for few minutes while others were waiting for us to finish. Sorry for that guys, couldn't do it any faster or battle any other way. I did try something circus-like to namelock-tele and d/a/e lock bowa with fireballs/hydra, but just too hard to do. Bowa has plenty of time to shoot one arrow and screw the whole plan. So I decided not to do that.

In the end, I'm very satisfied with score against bowazons in there, it was something like 50/50 duel. Even though I'm sure Delsy won more against me than I did against him.

Later Max and I were 1v1, he took his trapper. So, we played some duels with chatting. We discovered that Hydras are very useful against trappers, making clawblock-lock easier to pull off.
Not bad day. Too bad more people didn't come, but battling those bowas was kind of exciting. Not for those waiting outside though I believe :p

Day 7

Last day was again almost full house playing, so very nice.

Maxicek - ww/trap sin
Maxicek - bowa
Colony - pala mage
Colony - boner
Colony - firesorc
Nulio - pala mage (level 99!)
Delsy - bowa
Grip - ghost
Grip - trapper
Horseheadnebula - blizzard sorc

Can't recall who else played. Anyway. Battle started as two assassins and two paladins on the field. Mages are strong opponents for those assassins, kind of. Nevertheless, I found those duels to be interesting, even though I didn't kill anyone. WW delay was too annoying, so I repicked to trapper. Not much to write about ffa there, Max and me found bowa to be interesting target and we spammed each other trying to get to bowa. While he shoot at us ofc. Colony scored impressive kill there, killed me with meteor. We both agreed that meteor is OP. Delsy won some rounds, he was challenging to beat. With 7 fpa attack, he would smash my trapper around. Blizzard sorc made some kills with strong blizzards. Nulio gonna nulio, without charge on paladin.

Then we had some team battles.

Max - bowa
Colony - firesorc
Nulio - pala mage
vs
Delsy - bowa
Hhn - blizzard sorc
Grip - trapper

We had the upper hand in those, my traps proved to be useful tool to damage them and forcing them to either retreat or to split up.

So, PvP week is over. Well done everyone, this was great PvP week! So full games and new players and everything. Of course, that PvP week ended doesn't mean games won't be hosted. Just take a look at multiplayer forum, hosting PvP games will be announced there. So join even if it's not PvP week!

Anyone wanna share their impression of this PvP week? What characters you like from what you seen this PvP week? General impression of the games?

I really enjoyed playing trapper. Awesome character that has everything! Suitable for both defensive and offensive playing, strong stun capabilities and good HP pool to take some hits. My trapper is 65 fcr, but I'll eventually make her 102 fcr. And she is very strong character overall. Definitely best PvP character overall I ever played.

Delsy was definitely nice surprise, probably to everyone. He did awesomely well with bowa that is geared as his. I hope to see his bowa with "real" equipment, that would be beast. I did notice he improves with matches. Also, do more characters as well.

I hoped to see Nulio's boner as well, but will happen soon I guess. With all those skillers... 40+ life average skiller? Also wanted to see his firesorc at action that is much stronger than mine. Till the next time I guess.

Also liked Frozen's trapper as opponent. Overall hardest to beat out there and incredibly strong character.

Most fun part of this PvP week was battling with my vita casters against bowazons. Just awesome duel. Who needs block? This way it's great to learn how to approach bowa and how to react fast.

Well, I participated a bit more this time and had also gotten more used to my char (which I also don't hate with all of my heart anymore). The learning curve is rather steep, but it is definitely worth it. I especially enjoyed the FFA games on d2 and d3 (I think) where I had gotten my play style somewhat under control and got to go up against many different builds. I could very much feel that I had gotten better since last pvp week - I still suck, but at least this time I got a kill or two most rounds and was even last man standing a few times.

For next pvp week i will hopefully have a couple of new chars ready - currently working on fire druid and planning a cold sorc.

Pvp is without doubt something I will return to, and I will recommend anybody just thinking about going in to it to take one of the giveaways in the sptf and get started.

I've enjoyed every duel. It was fun, with so many builds, playing ffa or in teams, trying to adapt to various battle situations etc. In particular, I was glad to see shapeshifting druids and barbarians, as they are my favourite characters. I plan to make at least one of them for the next pvp week, so I don't have to bore you with the same amazon every day;).

Also there is one character I will rant a little upon. It was a paladin with an Insight. I think that one was bad mannered:p. For example, doubled lvl 30 prayer corresponds roughly to 480 replenish life from items. That's a little too much. At one point I've said no aura, when in a team play they were healing faster than we were dealing damage. He then went for another character:p (I think it was frozen, I'm still confused with all the names so please bear with me).

Actually that pala is closer to 800 replenish life. In a team battle he is very strong, yes. Even though he might be in bad mannered waters, that character is very unique and very refreshing on PvP scene if you ask me. 10 points for being different for sure. Strong heal + average charge damage + no block while charging + weakish hammers... It's not like that paladin is strong or something. Well maybe certain casters will have hard time killing him, but some builds, that are quite common today, should just destroy him.

IIRC he had grief with shield on switch as he was smiting, so he most likely has block. Eth bugged Insight isn't too shabby of a weapon either. While not as strong as a specialised character, he is strong enough. The point is, the advantage he has from prayer outweights the loss in damage by far. 800 replenish life while the rule is no more than 25 is too much (while prayer isn't replenish life, the effect is the same). He can simply charge away and heal while being difficult to hit. It was frustrating to see him with full health, while he was at half just a few moments earlier. I'll wait to see him in battle again to make a better opinion, but he looked way OP to me.

I had a fun week. Great to see new people around. My mage was also more interesting to play than I expected, though I still need a lot of practice with it. The light sorc was a bit of a disappointment though - less damage than a fire sorc, but more durable due to having actual points in ES - it just wasn't much fun to play.

As for Frozzzen's insight paladin it may be a different build, and it doesn't stop it being a bit irritating for some builds, but it isn't really any worse than some match-ups are, e.g. ES sorc vs. bone necro.

I hoped to see Nulio's boner as well, but will happen soon I guess.

I also found this comment more amusing than I should do, given my age.
