Griswold palabear?

Griswold palabear?

How would this work? It's mainly for pvp.

Complete grisset. Cta on switch then use beast to become a bear.
With lvl 29 fana you need 80% ias on your gris weapon to hit 4 frame attack.
That's 2 shael, so you got 2 free sockets in the weapon.

Gris helm: 2os
Gris armor: 3os
Gris Shield: 3os
Gris weapon: 2shael 2os
Belt: Verdungo's
Gloves: Draculs
Boots: Gore riders
Amulet: Angelics
Ring1: Angelics
Ring2: Ravenfrost

10 Open sockets to use.

Now if you are very rich you could get 37x 413 poison sc's. Socket 2x um in the weapon, socket 8 poison facets in the rest of the gear and use trang gloves.

Or you could make a physical/safety bear.

2x um, or 2x Lo for 40% deadly strike in the weapon
3x ber in the armor. (24%dr + 15%dr belt = 39%dr)
3x 40ed/15 max in shield, 2x 40ed/15 max in the helm.
9x 10max/ar/lifers, sc's mainly res/life ones.

It seems pretty cool.
For skills you would use:
20 holy shield
20 defiance
20 Fanacitism
20 blessed aim (hidden ar bonus 5% per/lvl)
and the usual 1 point wonders (maybe few more in vigor, holy freeze, light res aura)

I counted out that the average damage with:

2x lo in weapon, 15%ds gores
9x 10max gc
148str
lvl 29fana
5x 40/15 max jewels
and +- 100% ed from werebear

= +-2100-5100. That is pretty freaking huge damage for a 4 frame attack.

So can this work or not?

This sounds like a cool idea. I'm not sure if it gives you the power to actually survive in duels, but it's definitely different. You should drop 3x 40-15's and a lo rune in the caddy. For the armor I would go with ber to get damage reduction (griz sorely lacks it), um the shield and then 40-15 the helm.

Neato.

Planning to duel what classes?

Everything except smiters (they are impossible with bears)

I was also thinking going another route. Although the grisset is pretty cool. The jewels and charms needed to make it work are pretty expensive.
A grief pb >37 ias hits a 5 frame attack. Skills etc. would be the same but gear would look something like this.

Helm: Coa ber/ber +-30%dr
Weapon: Grief pb
Armor: Fortitude
Shield: Eth bugged exile
Gloves: dracs or bloodfists
Belt: Verdungo's
Boots: Gore riders

This will give the bear skyhigh def, although i feel def is kind of overrated because it really is only usefull vs barbs

Other setup would be:

Helm: Coa ber/ber
Weapon: Grief pb
Armor: Eth upped Guardian angel
Shield: Phoenix zakarum 45 res
Gloves: Dracs or bloodfists
Belt: Verdungo's
Boots: Gore riders

This setup will leave me with lower def, and less chance to cast lifetap (although lifetap really isn't that handy). But it will give me 90% resists and it will cost me very few dex to reach max block, wich means more life to get multiplied by bo and bear.

Or i could go with forti+phoenix?

Or should i base my build on Eni?
45% frw, huge str and 8% dr are also very handy but i'll loose a lot of damage/resi.

Any suggestions here? i want a pretty allround pubdueller, i'll just put walk on versus smiters and walk away from them, i can't kill them but they can't kill me if i reach the 86% fhr break.

aren't 40/15max jewels bugged when put in helms, armors and shields?

yes, i think the ed% only works on the minimum damage then, or something like that. The non-gris builds i mentioned are also more effective and less expensive, don't know how to make it exactly though.
