FB's Weekly Top 5

This weeks poll is another easy one. Everyone should have their own opinions on this one. This is for Hell difficulty only.

Which Hell boss is the biggest pain in the %$#@?

Andariel

She can pack a punch. She has a hell of a poison attack and weaker characters, especially melee characters (because you have to get close) are open to that early in the game. She has a ton of monsters in her den with her. I am not sure how she walks on those legs either, or sits on that chair, for that matter! She can take you out if you have low life or if you have low poison resist. Not to mention that you have to travel a long way to get to her.

Duriel

This is one hell of a bug. This guy can freeze you and take you out pretty fast. One hit can take half your life. If you have a merc, you can try to use him as a decoy, but the Amazon's Valk probably has the biggest advantage here. She has a good amount of life. Duriel is hard to take out. He has plenty of hit points and if you don't get out of his way...

Why don't I ever hear of anyone running Duriel?

Mephisto

This guy can also take you out with many varied attacks. The walk there isn't easy either, with those damn little Stygian Dolls who can gang up on you and also take half your life with one hit. Meph is surrounded by a few harder minions and floats around whispering to you. "You're too late"! Yeah, take this you...

Diablo

The games namesake. This dinosaur has a few attacks that are dangerous to zons, sorcs, and other characters who usually prance around with lower life. His hit points are many and he can kill most characters without blinking an eye. It is difficult to get to him. The monsters in the five seals can give you some trouble, too.

Baal

The boss with the most hit points. If you read the Pat, Mat, and Guardian threads, people usually say something like "well, it took 15 minutes of continous pounding, but I finally did him in". Baal's minions are especially difficult. Hopefully you cleared the area before taking on the minions. Then you can pound on him for 15 minutes. That isn't out of the ordinary. And if he duplicates himself, well...

I pick diablo b/c of the area he is in and the attacks that he has. CS i a pain in the arse for any melee characters due to the IM, and for casters, the LR. The seal mobs can be quite powerfull. This red lighting of death is certainly a killer. I am also seen many die to his river of fire attack. All in all, he is one tough badarse.

I also vote Baal with his dumb mana drain, pain in the *** tentacles and his annoying knockback ice cream cone. Not to mention when he dies he has to spill his innards all over your boots :grrr: .

I voted for Diablo. Why? Well, I haven't quite made it to Hell Baal yet (almost there!) and Hell Diablo put me in that @$^@$%$# bone prison of his for the first time since D2 Classic! Other than that, the Chaos Sanctuary can be a real pain, and Diablo himself won't sit still or lay off the Pink Lightning Hose of Doom either. Maybe I'll change my mind after I face Baal, but for now, it's Big D.

I would have voted for The Ancients if the option was there. I'm voting for Baal, not because he is difficult, but because he never drops me anything.

Well, I voted for Duriel, because he "is the biggest pain in the a$$". He is definently not the hardest boss, but he is just the most annoying, etc. The frozen all the time thing, just hurts pretty bad. :grrr:

I vote Baal. Not only is his hoarfrost (cold attack--bet you didn't know it actually had a name ;)) the most annoying attack in the game, but he never fails to piss me off aside of that with his lack of dying and horribly annoying mana-draining attack. Fighting (even while defeating) Baal a few times has made me actually quit D2 for awhile in absolute annoyance.

Hoarfrost? I always called it the Knockback Chevron...

voted for diablo...
erally, the venomlordboss is annoyng to say the least, he's extra fast, and sometimes multishot wich makes inferno a killerspell, but this is probably most for meleechars... and those oblivion.mages for meeles, in act 5 there's at least some other curseb*tches...

Voted for baal.

Is it just me that thinks that baal is ugly as hell. He looks like a giant crab that began to eat a clown but forgot the cranium and is now stuck in there.

I voted for Anderial!! y I find she's more dangerous than all other bosses, only if she had big life pool no other boss will be a nightmare like she, Why?
She has in Hell the ability CBF (can't be Frozen) and her poison nova will take a percent of the life of your minion (I play alway necro or sorc) merc will die in her face in less than 10 seconds even with clay and deciprify she still dangerous. Other bosses will not be able even to move under the effect of clay and deciprify only mephisto can move a little bit more but if I raise a cold mage then mephisto is no issue.

I voted for Duriel, bacause of the situation you are in when you fight him. I often play underpowered characters and with them I take advantage of speed and space. With those two seriously handicapped, Duriel is by far the hardest act boss.

If you really think about it, none of them is hard enough. I vote diablo for 2 reasons.

1. he is pain in @#$ for fishy if you don't get your army of undead surround him fast enough.
2. CS is the worst area in D2, IM is the worst for melee, plus tough guys for every type of char, and the five seals are no better than baal's army.

3. I %#@ing hate IM !!!!!

That's far more creative than "that blue crap," which is what I always called it. :D

I'll have to vote for Andy, since that's the only Hell boss I've actually ever faced. This will change soon, provided I stop jawing here and get to playing.

I voted for baal becuase of his insane hit points, damn *** will not die with my fishymancer, takes like 10 minutes.. Never had a problem with diablo, expect for the cs.

I vote none of the above.

Ancient Kaa the Soulless is the leading cause of Hardcore death, period.

I thought it was The Summoner? Either way, they're both in A2, which as everyone has heard me whine about COUNTLESS times, kills 95% of my HC characters in one difficultly level or another.

You find God quickly with a PI/MI Kaa packing MR, SS, LE, and Conviction.
