Etdlahq Memorial Bar - your shelter from forum crashes continued

Too many old faces make me suspicious. I'm on Durf watch. He cannot be allowed to reclaim his credit card.
Talking about suspiciousness. Is Durf actually secretly among us replacing his expired credit cards with new ones as needed. And to what nefarious end?

Perhaps that is just irrelevant as atleast we know who to blame. Oh well. Can I have some dew please?

I moved on from DII mostly because I dint like having to start over every few months in order to have a shot at new drops. I'm currently wandering the Appalachian Wasteland (Fallout 76) with @snickersnack , Fasnacht is in full swing and people are all dressed up in funny but cool looking masks.

Irl, still working but not rais8ng kids.

Rumor has it that @Leopold Stotch is still roaming the warm sunny beaches of California looking for victims.

I'm glad there are plenty of people doing the breeding stuff so I can just live as the hedonist I've always been.

IRL: Expanding my diet by trying recipes from my grandma's box of 100+yo recipes. Lots of casseroles to try but mostly have my eye on interesting chilis/stews.

OL: Hopelessly addicted to No Man's Sky (picked it up during Steam's winter sale). Learning Python. Actively avoiding politics as my country has gone completely off the deep end.

Lot of that going around.

I do my best to keep a pretty lady happy while also trying to keep both our heads above debt-flavored water. It is a tricky tango indeed. Specifically I drive around a certain soft drink that is the choice of a new generation, but I'm working on endorsements to drive around very zesty juice that makes car go vroom.

IRL: Currently on paid parental leave so mostly just doing stuff around the home that I never had time to do when I was working.

D2: Just guardianed my second character in the random tournament. Thinking about doing a third or joining the Ironman tournament

OG: Playing a bit of D3 with the sanctified items. Not sure that I really want to grind paragon anymore though so might give it a rest.

hey hey. Not sure how active this still is but I used to be pretty busy on here a few years ago with shintyguy name and this one.

looking to reinstall this legend of a game and pass some time.

is old stegs, fred or kitteh still around?
If you mean fredoferik, I haven't seen him on the forums in years. He packed it in a long while ago. I am friends/connected with him on LinkedIn which is kind of funny.

Please don't remind me of that last part...although now that you mention it I have to say something about it in my IRL part.

Do we still do this? I feel like its been forever but sure.

IRL: Its tax season, and I'm a tax accountant, its a busy time of year but that's how it goes. That being said for all the people keeping up with US politic nonsense, I just had a training about the proposed tax legislation in the house and senate and of course both are awful for the normal American citizen, shocking I know. "Yes, please lets reduce the corporate tax rate from 21% to 15% and cut billions from social programs like medicare and social security, and increase spending by $4.5 trillion which is like 17% of the entire US economy. Great idea." /s

D2: I haven't dusted off my old characters in a long time. They still sit on a flash drive and back ups of my back ups on my desktop. I have played D2R on random occasion though just to have some online play. Did the whole mosaic sin and everything so that was fun, but vastly overpowered.

OG: My kids play fortnite, so I've started to play fortnite. Its frustrating as hell and I can't stand it because there can only be one winner or one team that wins for a whole match and I'm not as fast as I used to be in shooter games. My wife has started playing as well and enjoys playing, but only if I play with her. She doesn't care if she wins though and I do so that's where the disconnect is. Maybe I'm just better off waiting for Borderlands 4 and the new Fable to come out.

Nice of you to show up.

Sarcasm aside, that's why I never got into those games.

Youre more than welcome to join Snickersnack and myself in Appalachia. There little pvp and it can be avoided easily.

This goes for anyone else interested in a change of pace.

Epic Store had Return to Moria for free back before Christmas and I've been a dwarf full-time for the last three weeks or so. I haven't been this hooked by a game in quite a while, I forgot how excited I used to be for video games.

I'm on it!

IRL: work and breeding stuff. Really, my wife and I are trying to get pregnant the last couple months. :devilish:  Nope, hedonism isn't involved at all - strictly business! The economic woodchipper isn't going to fill itself. It's not going to fill itself? That's what she said.

IRL2: We started going to a gym recently. I'm doing a push-pull-legs split, but mostly working on my upper and mid back as well as shoulders for pullups. I could do 10 pullups EZ 25 years ago, and it's time to do it again... in another 2-3 years.

IRL3: I'm getting big into making ramen at home. Stir fry some meat and veg, cook some packaged noodles, add the packets and the noods (sans agua) in the wok and stir fry a bit more.

D2: not much recently. The last time I fired it up was a few months ago to do a little WSK with my BotD Avenger. After thinking about it for a while, I think that maybe terror zones made the game less satisfying. Why should I do any mf runs when Andy will be terrorized at 4am? Idk, it just doesn't seem fun when I can't get the buff.

OG: as @Gorny mentioned, Fallout 76. I think the series really took a turn with FO4, and it's less of an RPG, but I still have fun with it. Right now, I'm levelling a pistol guy in prep for an upcoming patch that will buff those. They're also adding the ability to become a ghoul, which I also plan on doing with this character.

I show up from time to time, but not enough to get involved with a mafia game anymore

What is an Appalachia? Is that an Alpaca that I have to buy and raise in my back yard?

It's a bit crazy to think that a lot of you are just now having kids. I just spent 4 days with my sister in law and their 4 month and 3 year old. And while I love kids and it was fun, I don't miss that kind of life at all!

IRL: Still doing electrical contracting work until my body breaks down and I can't anymore. My wife and (married 3ish years now) have 5 kids total, but 3 are already grown and moved out and the last 2 are 14 and 17 so they don't require that much care.

D2: Played a good amount of d4 recently and its actually starting to be a good game I think. Also played POE2 and some rogulikes lately. I haven't played fortnite in a few years, but my kids do play it still.

The mafia games were good fun for sure, but I usually just got killed for talking too much.
