Ender's Mafia Game

I'm not sure if FoE is locked or not. I haven't counted votes. At any rate, I WON'T be voting FoE. I think the only way FoE is scum is if both he and Jason are in cahoots in this charade yet I don't sense any duplicity on either part. Jason in particular posted things that were too open, honest and breadcrumingly raw to be part of such a choreographed incident.

I likely won't have a chance to post again today. I like my vote where it is.

Oh, and as far as a lock or not goes, I tend to come down more on the side of believing FoE and Jason after their posts. Perhaps that's stellar play by two mafioso, but it seems that their posts make sense of a lot of things that didn't make sense, and Jason's claim absolutely lines up. If there was going to be a town power role such as his, that's absolutely the character it would be. The mason character choices seem odd to me, but from reading "Ender in Exile" I suppose one could make the case for it fitting, and I certainly have no idea by which criteria our dear host assigned characters to roles.

If FoE is indeed locked and flips mason... I'd suggest townies read through the thread again (if that happens) and keep in mind the info that Jason and FoE have shared.

Coju if you want to start tomorrow's wagon on me today, can you at least put together an actual case for me to respond to?

As of post 366 the vote count looks like FoE was not locked. Thanks for double checking for me.

FoE/Moar - 6
Drixx - 2
Val - 2

I didn't see anyone in the thread asking you to re-check lock status. I'm a bit uncomfortable that someone(s) did so via PM. Your previous post implied, at least to me, that more than one person had contacted you to tell you that the vote count wasn't locked. I think knowing who those people are is probably information that should be in the game and not out of it. Apologies if I missed it in the thread, but I don't recall seeing anyone bring it up except for your post thanking people for contacting you.

I posted in thread asking people to double check for me. I don't think it matters who did, since I counted wrong to begin with.

I felt obliged to recount myself since it's my role in the game and didn't want to leave people hanging.

This happened last night, btw.

FoE is at 10 votes , which iirc is a lock. Feel free to recheck my counting.

Some people say I counted wrong.

Please go ahead and say so in thread with your count, as I have to go for now.

Thanks

I disagree. I think it very much matters who was very interested in whether that vote was locked or not. As the game wears on, I think it will be extremely important information to know who wanted to avoid FoE being locked and cared enough to re-count to check and to pm you.

You are; however, the host and perhaps you feel that outing those people would unbalance the game, so I'll leave it to your discretion which is, I believe, that it's not important who those people were. Thanks for the vote count update.

I'm afraid we're left without a very useful wagon going at the moment with just over four hours to go.

Just wanted to say hey I'm here and I'm really strugling to read this thread. I interviewed for a job on Tuesday and was hoping to hear back yesterday from them to see if I got it. Never got a call, so... And no one has emailed me back about the jobs I applied for and I'm starting to freak a little. I got terrible sleep last night, I found out salmon patties suck (I over cooked them. Mine tasted gummy, but Gentleman Friend thought it was fine. And I burned brownies! >< brownies are not made to be cupcakes!) and I just feel terrible today. Sorry for my lack of playing, everyone. :(

Tell me, does Zokar always post lots of smilies and one liners?

Big-Smiley-animated-animation-grin-smiley-emoticon-000356-large.gif
always is such a funny word!

No. This is a first I've seen. That said, the desire to post seems normal. The topics/situations he replies to seems normal. It's just the method of speech that is unusual. Or as he puts it: ornery.

:highfive:

I think everyone should be interested in whether it was a lock or not. But it was sent in a pm so I'm not going to share the info.

One reason for people to check to see if someone was locked was so they would know if they were the locking vote or not, or lynch. I know that if I think someone is close to lock I normally ask for a vote count or count myself to see.

And at the time there was some doubt about the whole locking vote blows up deal.

By the way, I now find Sathoris infinitely suspicious. At the time he made is "don't be afraid, I'll be the locking vote" post, he could have made the locking vote a few minutes later and chose not to ... food for thought.

 Like a BAWS!!!

Ok, haven't got much time here, so this will be a short post.

To whomever asked: Moar/me and BA only had night talk - no day talk.

On the lynch, I'm not confident that we can manage to turn the lynch around, but some of you seem to be willing to. coju's case on drixx almost seems like a joke. The only reason I can see to lynch drixx is his ongoing talk about JM being a sheriff, but I believe that was an honest mistake. That being said, I disagree with him needing to do a full role claim (before I claimed that is), but reading drixx's arguments makes me believe that we simply disagree, not that he is scum.

On the other hand, I'm all for a Val lynch - mostly because of his post earlier where he speculated on lore, without us having any idea of how lore is implemented in the game, and for him suggesting that "I would make up stuff" even if I was town - scum-thinking slip?

Vote: Valhauros

Hopefully I will be back before day end to go more in depth. Still on vacation though, and I'm going out tonight so I can't promise anything.

Vote: Moar

I'm not entirely convinced about her, I'm very 50/50, but I'm far less sure on anybody else, so I figure that's good reason.

Kitteh ... you should unvote and read the thread before you make a vote. Right now you look like a scum pretending to be making new player mistakes. Moar was replaced by a different player and after some reveals and further input from Jason, it seems prudent to believe FoE and Jason Maher for the time being. Their stories don't have any holes in them and a good re-reading of the day revealed a few things to me (including where I made my poor assumption about Jason being an investigator).

Basically you keep making mistakes that are going to get you lynched. If you are really just new, then be careful to make sure you have read thoroughly before voting. Your vote shows an almost complete oversight of the last several pages of the thread and people will only believe it's a new player mistake for so long. So, if you really are a new player and a townie, for your sake I'd advise you to take a bit more time with it.

Not to defend Sathoris but I think you are wrong Drixx, I dont think that Moar/FoE ever had more than 8 votes and the lynch lock was 10 so if he had voted he would have been the 9th, the lynch vote and not the lock.
