Ender's Mafia Game

I agree with Zokar being puzzling, but find it likely that he's a Village Idiot. Idiosyncratic posts like that definitely draw attention to oneself, which only makes sense strategically if someone is trying to draw a lynch. Just my opinion, but I would lean against lynching him.

Not puzzling! Just voting for scum!

His refusal to answer my direct question gives me the same thoughts. But there's always the chance he's mafia masquerading as a VI to try and escape lynch.

That is quite coincidental with zokar's showing of sathoris's votes dying. Quite, though, I took sathorsi as a player who wouldn't be so obviously scum. In this case, I have to take zokar's coincidental coincidenti as coincidence.

:guiness: well played!

But good to know you want to make it clear you think SI is acting completely normal.

Can you explain this? I'm not following why you think coju thinks that.

Korials's played enough games to know that mentioning a link between a deceased person and yourself is going to draw attention to a link between you and the deceased person. Mafia don't want that.

Is that a "too scummy to be scummy" defense?

Oh well, the interesting votes to look at have already been placed.

Which votes were interesting? Why?

You'll find my answer to that in an earlier response to Drixx.
I meant that they could either be mafia or town (excluding cults and people with their own win conditions), not that there's an even distribution of town and mafia. That'd be OP for mafia.

The question is whether any scum were involved in exploiting his post to make him look bad or if it was overzealous townies and the mafia were able to just sit back and let it happen.

We have some odd votes yesterday to look at. Some odd posts (including Zokar's continuing odd posts) to look at. I would judge it far more likely that we'll find mafia in the no vote group and the group of people who posted little to nothing of their own thoughts and simply used other people's posts and votes as an excuse to ensure the lynch, as opposed finding them driving the train against Korialstraz. Honestly his play was just a bad misplay and the wagon started so quickly on him that I think it unlikely scum would have stepped into the light to start the wagon so soon. Maybe if it had happened later in the "day" perhaps.

I feel kind of like my thoughts are going in circles. Welcome to mafia, I guess, right?

I disagree with the bolded. The first vote was ~20 hours into the day. Second vote was at ~24 hours. Third vote at ~30hrs. Votes four through eleven occurred in the last 4 hours of the day. That's a slow train. If any scum wanted to get an early seat on that train, they easily could have.

I'm also concerned about the two deaths in the night. Hopefully one of the more experienced players will give some possibilities for how that happens.

Occam's Razor says it's a second killing element. Most commonly a SK. Second most common is a second mafia. Least common is vigilante.

The not so Occam's Razor answer include roles that could cause multiple deaths in a single night or single action. Elite bodyguard. Bomb. Weak/CPR doc. Hider. Mafia with double shot.

Not the kind of equal chance I meant.

0% town / 100% mafia
10% town / 90% mafia
25% town / 75% mafia
50% town / 50% mafia
75% town / 25% mafia
90% town / 10% mafia
100% town / 0% mafia

Which one best describes your most scummy opinion of Kitteh. When was that? Which one best describes your opinion of Kitteh now?

I felt that Kitteh was most likely town the day before, so I'd put it at 75% town/25% mafia.
Now, I think that I jumped the gun out of sympathy for another new player. The posts seem a lot more scummy to me now so I'd put it at 75% mafia/25% town.

Does that answer your question? I'm not entirely sure I get what you mean.
