nope, just stating my own personal opinions, feel this game is more chaotic than most
It has been a bit of an odd one thus far, I'll agree, but I think it's a fairly well established fact that the town should lynch.

If you consider those posts to be slips that make him look scummy, why is your first reaction to dismiss those words entirely instead of trying to determine whether they are the postings of a Mafioso or a new Townie player?

You say that, yet your vote is missing. Why?
I have to vote now because I know I won't be able to get on until after 7:00, but from all the choices so far there's been a large case made again korial and I don't see anyone else who may be suspicious except Drixx. I'm not 100% sure on korial but it's the only option for me at the moment.
Vote: korialstraz
Can someone translate the time the day/night changes will happen to East Coast US time for me?
Unless you think that Korialstraz is HIPS/LAMIAT, it seems most likely that he and I are both townies. It would seem like very poor play to me on his part if he's mafia.
I'm not sure that it was necessarily an attempted frame up. CG's posts provided the mafia with a good target to hit that would likely direct the investigation towards Korialstraz and myself. I'm really not sure why Korialstraz made the post he did ... it doesn't seem to have much of any upside if he's scum and unless he's a special role that wins by being lynched, I can't imagine why he would want to paint a target on himself. If he had brought it up and pointed out just me, you could maybe make a case for bussing.
I thought that was the same thing I said.![]()

On a different but related note, is there a vote count somewhere that I missed?
Imagine basic training for kids in middle school. They have teams broke into squads all led by the kids, that train and have mock battles with stun guns. Not Lord of the Flies crazy, but I would not say hair and face may not always be off limits here.
I had thought it was obvious, but I'm a big fan of sarcasme... oh well, at least pyro gets me

Basically forum mafia comes down to WIFOM (for the new folks this is basically infinite regression of reverse psychology). When I saw that CG was killed, my first thought was that the mafia had chosen well. CG tends to be very analytical and the posts concerning Korialstraz and in response to my inquiry about the twilight voting basically guaranteed that the discussion today was going to center around Korialstraz, myself, and whether the mafia was trying to HIPS or pull a frame job.
Assuming a fairly vanilla game (which may be a bad assumption if the last game I played here is any indication), there are four potential scenarios for Korialstraz and myself, in terms of our roles:
Mafia:Mafia
Mafia:Townie
Townie:Mafia
Townie:Townie
I think the fact that Korialstraz so quickly brought attention onto me and him probably makes the first one the least likely. It seems like a very risky day 1 play to me. Korialstraz also hasn't seemed to try to direct the attention my way, which I think makes a BUSSING play also unlikely.
Unless you think that Korialstraz is HIPS/LAMIAT, it seems most likely that he and I are both townies. It would seem like very poor play to me on his part if he's mafia.

Argh, freaking 3 hour lab right thru the best time of this game.

That's the thing with slips, they can make you look unintentionally mafia. I think what Kitteh has said so far was meant to have good intentions (i.e., how a townie would would say it) but it turned out to look kind of scummy. That's just what I believe because of the situation, it's equally as likely that they were mafia slips though.
It's because I believe they were a noobie error, considering Kitteh's newness to the game. Saying they're slips gives the impression that they were accidental, and in a sense they are, but, what I'm trying to say (and not getting across very well) is that what Kitteh posted was intentional (i.e., that's what Kitteh wanted to say) but Kitteh didn't have the experience to know that they may make him look scummy even if he's town. I don't think that they'd point us towards either Kitteh being mafia or town, they're not slips in the sense of it coming from an experienced player. That's the difference I see.
Hopefully I cleared that up, it seems so simple in my mind but I'm having issues conveying it.
No. I have the following unofficial count:
21 alive: 11 to lynch, 12 to lock
korial(5): SI, Kitteh, Gory, Phil, Gwaihir
SI(1): Sath
Jason(1): Zokar
I just don't even have any direction to go in based on what I've read. Seems like a lot of scrambling and any vote I throw is more than likely going to be insanely random and I am not diggin that
Are you korialstraz? No votes would count so the formatting didn't matter.
Where did I say he is more aggressive than usual?
Because from previous experience, someone very often points out the possibility of framing. I figured I'd get it out early so it could be discussed.
If I was scum I could risk it yes. Or I can do what seems to be common around here, wait for someone to point out the conversation between Drixx and CG and how he's now dead, and then play the frame card. I considered it, but I went ahead and posted what I'm sure others were thinking. It's started a discussion, which imo is good.
If I had waited for someone else to point out the connection, and played the "I'm being framed!" card then, would it make a difference? If so why, because even after this post I can't see it.
1st question: Because from my experience such things are noticed and brought up at some point. As I said earlier, I wanted to just get the focus out there, and the discussion rolling.
2nd question: Because it felt natural, due to CG's post about how he thought both me and Drixx looked suspicious. What would your reaction be to my post if I didn't mention Drixx?
Moar has already quoted CG's post where he talked about me and Drixx, but I'll quote it again below for convenience.
Well yea there were essentially town, but that doesn't change the facts, even though I was on his side. Had I been in any of the houses, I would still press for his lynch due to the claim not holding up, based on information I knew form the lore. So the point still stands, knowing the lore can be beneficial to the game, for better or worse.
It is a bit odd to see SI being more aggressive so early, since he's usually a bit more passive in his playstyle so early (from my experience). But for now though I'll welcome it, if only to keep the discussion rolling, and for people to make up their mind on the situation.
