I don't buy the "I was trying to spur discussion" line. I just don't see evidence you were trying for a gambit. Gambits are aggressive and risky. I don't remember you doing anything that aggressive or risky.
If you think someone may be framing Drixx, why didn't you wait until someone puts heat on Drixx using that reasoning? Interrogate the interrogator.
If you don't think someone may be framing Drixx or if you are unsure, you don't go as far as you did to align Drixx and yourself as framed townies. LAUWAST. Look At Us We Are So Townie.
"A possibilty of being true" isn't what you said early in the day. A possibility of being true also means a possibility of being untrue. You neglected to mention that possibility regarding Drixx. I don't see you very curious about Drixx's alignment.

You're right about not seeing any evidence of a gambit, because I didn't try for one. I was stating my thoughts, and offering an idea to what the reasoning behind the NK could be. I'll be honest though, my purpose at the time was mostly to look for reactions to my post, but I'm also happy we got a good discussion going.
Isn't this the second time you accuse me of suspecting only Drixx was framed? Last I checked it included myself as well. For the record, you're the one who used the word framed. Look at my last quote in this post.
I'm not aligning myself with Drixx. I mentioned that if someone was trying to make someone the focus of suspicion due to the NK, the obvious ones would be me and Drixx.
I don't feel like I ever made a post that would suggest I was thinking that there is a possibility of this being untrue.
Maybe the intended meaning of my post is different than how you interpret it? I never meant for this post to sound as if I'm 100% certain we're being framed. And imo it's not worded that way either.

Not what I was saying. If someone had brought that up as the reason to lynch you, I would have been suspicious of them. But I don't see why you thought CG would have been killed to frame you at all, much less feel the need to make that your first point of the day.

I would have liked to have gotten into the thread a bit sooner, but I had a lengthy meeting with my Greek professor yesterday for the Independent Study Syntax course he's administering for me this semester, and between finishing up my parsing assignment (nearly 300 nouns fully parsed along with syntactical function) and the reading for the session, I have been pretty slammed since my last post during twilight.
The same thing happened to me. An e-mail to elly and maybe an @Thyiad or @Noodle so they post it in the moderator area may help it get squared away faster.
Basically forum mafia comes down to WIFOM (for the new folks this is basically infinite regression of reverse psychology). When I saw that CG was killed, my first thought was that the mafia had chosen well. CG tends to be very analytical and the posts concerning Korialstraz and in response to my inquiry about the twilight voting basically guaranteed that the discussion today was going to center around Korialstraz, myself, and whether the mafia was trying to HIPS or pull a frame job.
Assuming a fairly vanilla game (which may be a bad assumption if the last game I played here is any indication), there are four potential scenarios for Korialstraz and myself, in terms of our roles:
Mafia:Mafia
Mafia:Townie
Townie:Mafia
Townie:Townie
I think the fact that Korialstraz so quickly brought attention onto me and him probably makes the first one the least likely. It seems like a very risky day 1 play to me. Korialstraz also hasn't seemed to try to direct the attention my way, which I think makes a BUSSING play also unlikely.
Unless you think that Korialstraz is HIPS/LAMIAT, it seems most likely that he and I are both townies. It would seem like very poor play to me on his part if he's mafia.
I'm not sure I follow your logic. Korial basically put the target on himself with that post. If he goes down and he's a townie, doesn't that lend weight to his thought that the kill was intended as a frame up? If he goes down and flips scum, what would you think that implies about me?
I'm not sure that it was necessarily an attempted frame up. CG's posts provided the mafia with a good target to hit that would likely direct the investigation towards Korialstraz and myself. I'm really not sure why Korialstraz made the post he did ... it doesn't seem to have much of any upside if he's scum and unless he's a special role that wins by being lynched, I can't imagine why he would want to paint a target on himself. If he had brought it up and pointed out just me, you could maybe make a case for bussing.

I'm gonna go ahead and assume you have not read the books otherwise you would not have asked this question about Peter and Valentine. Pretty much what Philly said is accurate. I think I know what possible role they could have but I'll pipe down on that for now.

I wasn't referring to you, I was referring to korial. As to why you would think I was referring to you, I don't know. No where in the discussion were you mentioned saying that you thought that SI was being more aggressive than usual.

By slips I mean that what was said should generally be avoided saying. Like a reason for voting being that they're talking too much doesn't make much sense to me, and saying that you'll vote for whoever everyone else seems to be voting for seem like scummy reasons/ideas.
And to further explain, what I mean by posts that should generally be avoided I mean that they make you look scummy, whether or not you're mafia or town. I still think it's just a beginner's mistake. (although I can't say much because I'm a noob still

Should Korial be lynched and flip Mafia, I would sooner think that you would be Town than a fellow Mafia, for risk reasons that you state. Should he flip Town, it would lend some weight to his frame up theory as well as not indicate much towards your alignment one way or another. ie: You could easily be Mafia or Town.
There really has not been much of a concerted effort to derail the train apart from Sathoris and on the face of it that does not indicate that Town is on the right track. The only players that I saw taking heat with votes during the frame-up debate was myself and Kitteh. Sathoris votes Kitteh after I vote Korial and after I state my suspicions regarding Kitteh, I get Sathoris' vote. Sathoris goes out of his way to defend Korial. I am very suspicious of Kitteh and Kitteh was the 2nd to jump on the Korial train, with pretty scummy reasoning to boot. Is Sathoris the derailer and is Kitteh jumping with a vote on a Townie or someone that he thinks is Mafia?
The question is: Has enough evidence been presented for a Korial lynch and give some clarity to where you stand and well as Korial (with Sath and Kitteh as well)? I think the answer is yes, but if no, what is the alternative?

If you consider those posts to be slips that make him look scummy, why is your first reaction to dismiss those words entirely instead of trying to determine whether they are the postings of a Mafioso or a new Townie player?
nope, just stating my own personal opinions, feel this game is more chaotic than most
