i've been on skiing holiday the last 3 days, did anything happen (it doesn't seem like sth happened...)? well, i just wanted to say that i'm back :xman:
(wanted to make some suggestions for reborn here, but i'm a bit tired, just came home after skiing & hours of driving...)

Does this project have a future? Now that the 99-quest-thread is there, corax and farting bob have moved to it, which I can understand, because nothing's going on here. Dunno about nobo or Nightfire05 (I tried to join your baalruns, Nightfire, but somehow I couldn't join). Hmm, I don't have a build, yet and honestly at the moment I am not thinking about which I could play. But I doubt it would change something, if I had a build...

Right reborn, find a character to play with that you think is good enough, or at least others think is good enough, to do P8 baal solo. Find one quick and get him leveled. If you like we can help you rush through some of the more boring bits (read: act 3) as long as you still get the quests done and level fast enough. Then when your happy, do some boss runs (whichever is easiest and gives good EXP for your level) until you can take on baal in hell. Do so and then even if your not at a very high level, you can at least run with us and you'll gain the rest pretty quick.

Well, I will try to find a fitting char. I would like to play something like a schaefferdin or something, that would be cool and should be good at killing with static field, CB and DS (i hope so), but chars like that are out of reach. Sadly. A Stormlash would do well, too, but that one's too rare, too. Atm I'm after melee builds...
And... The biggest problem is probably to get people together. Look, when I still had my convicitonist or CL sorc, noone really had time to do runs. You didn't show up often or your father was at the PC, Nightfire05 was there quite often, but I also dunno about nobo, he seems to be away or something. And that's pretty much about it. corax, dunno about him either.

hmmm i didn't know what happened to the convention group, i thought the idea of reaching L99 had died. actually i don't know if i want to reach L99, it will be very boring to do so many baal runs...
but i'm still in! (and i didn't know that there are IPs posted in th L99-thread)
even without schaeffers you can deal alot of damage, just rely on ds and cb. do you own a heavenly light?

Erm, nah, I don't own a Heaven's Light. I pretty much don't own any really good weapon, neither onehanded nor twohanded. Maybe I'm exaggerating, but I think that's where the idea will fail. Unfortunately. My best one-handed weapon in terms of physical damage would probably be a perfect razor's edge (-.-). Two-handed best is probably only teh bonehew.

Oh good, a MFO. thats given me more incentive to run baal now. I might actually get off my arse (or as it should be, get back on my arse in front fo the PC and play) since theres a time limit to it.
It seems you have a catch 22 going on here reborn. You dont want a caster, only melee, yet you have no really good end game melee items. the ideal would be to do a MF'er (read: caster) until you find that 1337 item that can take you through the WSK in style, but that will only take longer and you'll get very bored by then im sure.

I know... I can continue running pindle with my javazon until I find a good weapon... But that will take forever and will be boring as you said. I could play other chars inbetween but then it would take even longer... I could try the pits or something again, too... Dunno.farting bob said:
