Community Forum Mafia Signup - Apocalypse Now

Thundercat, Wickedswami, and Gorny are the only other people who seemed interested in hosting, and Gorny doesn't want to host right away. So unless a large majority of people would rather have someone else mod, I would like to host this round. I have a good theme planned.

Post Nuclear holocaust, there are only a few survivors scrapping a meager existence in the burnt out ruins of an old town. Raiders have infiltrated the local population, killing and pillaging at night, and walking among them during the day. Resources are scarce, radioactive mutations are threatening the health of the people, and Unless the town mob can kill those who would destroy this fragile community, it will go the way of the rest of civilization.

I think the rule of allowing only one new forum/mafia regular per game is a good one, so only one person new to either the site or this game is allowed (to help keep down inactives). I don't have an exact start time for the game, but I'd give it at least a week or two, unless there are holidays or something and I can postpone it.

If someone is not interested in playing but would like to contribute, I welcome them to help me with write ups. I'm a decent author myself, but depending on how many people we get in the game it always help to have an extra set of hands.

If a mod would like to sticky this, that would be awesome ;)

It is dawn, although it could be dusk. A feeble sun struggles to shine through a fetid mist cocooning the land, casting little warmth or light on a shattered landscape. Rubble delineates what seems to be a roughly rectangular area encompassing several acres, as if a compound of some sort had once stood where now no sign of life remains.

Through the eerie stillness, a faint scratching sound is heard. A bit of dust rises from a patch of dirt in the center of the rubble. The scratching increases, and the patch of dirt swings down to reveal a trapdoor. A cowboy hat-clad head emerges from below, followed by a conspicuously non-funny cowboy dancing form. Noodle has returned to the Compound.

In as Vanilla Townie.

Browse through mafiawiki for interesting roles, there's lots of ones unused in these forums. Nothing stops you from coming up with a role or two on your own either. I had a few in mind, but they were both for town and I didn't want the town to power role steamroll the mafia in my game, thus they were left out.

Making up your own can be fun too ;)

He's back!!!!

Strong gusts made it hard to get a clear look of the place, and an eerie sound was produced as it passed the merry-go-round. The funfair was completely abandoned, ruined and it smelled like rotten cotton candy. Though in the distance a faint sound could be heard.
It appeared that the sound came from the only running attraction: the roller-coaster. From the distance a silhouette could be discerned against the brown, sand covered air. It appeared that some sort of man-mouse figure with huge circular ears was taking the ride over and over again, laughing with a high piched, yet evil undertone.

*makes shotgun clicking sound with his man-sized candy cane*

Heavily mutilated Mickey Mouse joins the party.

But really, Noodle was the inspiration. I hoped to get a more vivid image, while Noodle's was way more funny. :thumbsup:

If these are going to be some preliminary stories for the Mafia game, this could prove quite an awesome game.

aww yay! Noodle's story was awesome too. i dig rugged cowboy hats, altho, i pray to God about this, you will never catch me one. cowboy hats and me don't mix well, heh-heh. that's probably the one hat i couldn't pull off. i was talking about your little song. it made the story more.... vivid i guess. Music always does that tho.

you know... i kinda wanna try doing an intro story for me. i mean, hell, everyone is getting creative with it... kinda sparking up some creative flow... on second thought... nah. hehe, it's cool. hehe, nvm.

Marahumm, that role was useless for the town. If i were anti-town, that would have been a totaly different story.
