Classic ver. 1.09 questions?

Hello!!!

I play classic a lots to time when LOD has came out and i leave classic for LOD but when patch 1.10/1.11 came out i decide leave from LOD because overpowerde uniqs and rw crush all the game for me and after half year when 1.10 exist i back to classic :thumbsup: it was very fun time to play but now a end examinations and have some free time and with my "oldschool" friends we decide to play IMO best patch witch is 1.09d... LOD boring us and we want play a classic 1.09 but hmm some answers on some question will be very helpful...

Viable builds: (if i think correct)...
ama: bow and java???
barb: ofc ww barb in all classes weapon but if i remember swords and hammers rox???
pal: hmm zealot and ??? maybe tesladin??? hammerdin???
necro: summoner with ironmaiden and poison and bones spells and blood golem???
sorc: orb/meteo???, orb/nova???, static/orb??? orb/thunderstorm???

Items:
what is different on classic items 1.10 and 1.09???
this mean: what dmg can be spawn on weapon??? 200ed??
def is the same if i good think???
res on items is changed or not??

Game play:
only one question where is best/better exp in 1.09... in cows or cs??

1.09 was probably my favourite patch too, although I haven't lived through many of them.

You got most of the viable builds there. I'm not sure about the Pallys. Without synergies did tesladins and hammerdins work very well in 1.09? I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm generally asking.

200% enhanced dmg is indeed the max. 100% is the max enhanced defense.

I don't think there was any changes in the resists on items since 1.09.

And...Cows ftw!! I'm pretty (read very) sure that cows are better for exp than cs in 1.09, and I'm positive that it's much more exp for the work you do -- one of the reasons cows were so popular is that you don't need any resists, the level is full of slow mellee monsters that any ranged char can shoot and run away from as desired with ease, there's nothing like iron maiden to deal with, etc etc. Cows are easy aswell as being great exp.

have to agree, but it also meant that any unskilled player could get a very inadequate build to pretty high levels.

for example, my very first character every, was a summon necro, with literally every skill on the tree save for the psn tree. worse, he wore an ornate plate cause at the time I assumed defense > * which obviously isn't the case.

with some patience, he could solo hell CS, but it was VERY slow, and painful process - cows were another story altogether, with the meat shield of necro's, and revives, some minor use of bone wall, and curses plus even the low level of CE he was able to be a "hero" in the hell cow level a couple of times...

yeah my first char was summon necro too but i don't know nothing about game but he was very good char... skills wich he use was good choice: iron maiden, golem, revive, few points to ce and bone spirit... i end hell him and it was one of my best char to play on single :grin: my use chaos armor with nice mods :jig:
