Classic OT thread

Re: Classic OT thread

D3 you mean?

I bought mine a year ago so I thought it would be fine. That's what I get for buying a cheap comp I guess. I should just buy a PS3 instead :p

Re: Classic OT thread

Yeah store bought is always a mistake. A blind monkey could put a computer together :), the only tricky bit is getting the cabling neat, but as an electrician you should be fairly good at that.

Re: Classic OT thread

you would sure hope so. Muggs Is helping me put it together since I don't really know that much about building one nowadays.

Re: Classic OT thread

That is good, putting them together is fairly basic. Most things are 'keyed' so you can only put them in the correct way. The hardest part is probably choosing the parts.

Re: Classic OT thread

Get someone to select stuff for you then run it by me :D

Re: Classic OT thread

Sure thing. Trying to figure out a couple things and then muggs said he would do it. I can let you know once he does, as it never hurts to have a second opinion.

Re: Classic OT thread

My opinion will probably agree with Muggs anyway :D

Re: Classic OT thread

Probably. There's probably not that many options, as I'm looking for something fairly inexpensive.

Re: Classic OT thread

How much do you want to spend?

Re: Classic OT thread

I think I can do up to about $600, including os.

I'm trying to see if I can reuse my hard drive and os though, I can't seem to find my disks though.

Re: Classic OT thread

If it was a prebuilt system you wont have disks unfortunately

Re: Classic OT thread

I know I have something, but I think it's just a recovery or boot disk, I'll know once I find it :p

Re: Classic OT thread

My guess is it is recovery disk not the actual OS

Re: Classic OT thread

Fair enough. Do you run XP or Win 7?

Re: Classic OT thread

Because if you had vista you probably burnt the CDs :D
