So you CAN try this with a non-ladder character through open battle net?
What's all the fuss about people not wanting to give up their high-level characters and start all over again?

When Ladder resets, everybody's chars are moved to Nonladder, so if you want to play Ladder again and get Ladder Torches, you'll have to start fresh with a new char.
 
Yeah, and for people like me who have a behavior of joining late in the ladder, it's a pain in the *** to work back up to a status where you can take on the trio.

Yeah, Duriel is definately female. I guess she and Andy hit the glass cieling when they wanted to move up to primary evils.

An act2 mercenary using the runeword Infinity made in a polearm.
The runeword made from runes Ber Mal Ber Ist is usually wanted because of the conviction aura it adds. Conviction comes in handy since it lowers enemies resists and defense. Makes wonders for casters, really.
 
Exactly what part of this doesn't work in single player or LAN? I stumbled accross a Key of Terror while playing solo (not on bnet), which is how I found this forum (searching on google). If I find all three keys, will the summon not work or what? I'm hoping someone made a mistake, and non-bnet uber questing is possible, because I would like to play on a LAN with some friends this summer. Please let me know if you have any insight on this, or please tell the source for the knowledge that single player uber doesn't work. Thanks!
 
There is, however, a mod to allow the uber tristram quest in single player (and uber diablo as well), though they will not summon minions. I am unclear as to whether or not I can link to it, so I'll err on the side of caution and not. It is possible though, to do uber trist in single player, just not as the game is right now.

What whould happen to "Ladder Only Items" once your ladder characters are moved to NonLadder?
 
I have ALL THREE KEYS! But it won't open any portal! I am in Act 5, I am on Hell Difficulty, I go to transmute... And NOTHING!!!!!!!

SIngle Player here, but if it didn't work on Single why would they drop the keys!!!!! I so wanted to do this!!!!!!

They go along with you to NL. Nothing is lost.

Blizzard has a strange sense of humor. :rolleyes:

Sorry, you cannot transmute the keys in SP and thus, you can't do the Uber Tristram quest.
