confused on Crushing Blow:

its 25% off max hp? or remaining hp?
also, affected by phys resist?

btw, ever test BoTD zerk with this? the nova isn't that great though. prolly nerfs your venom strat too.

edit: eth also viable in socket? jah expensive...

^^ Poison Nova is unaffected by Venom and vice versa. I checked that a long time ago. PN is a spell, Venom affects Poison damage on weapons.

CB always subtracts from the remaining hitpoints. So you never actually kill a monster with CB, you just keep shrinking it's life down smaller and smaller.

What I want to know is:

Has anyone tried Azurewrath?? Fast weapon (ideal if you want to combine kicks with blade fury), adds ridiculous amounts of elemental damages, and Sanctuary aura enables you to ignore the physical resistance stat of undead.

I am considering a blade fury/kicker built around Azurewrath. Gloves would be Lava Gout, for the Enchant on striking. My merc would be Might with Reaper's Toll.

BF have fixed attack speed 8FPA not affected by IAS.
BF dont have hidden AR bonus unfortunally and as such pumping it up pointless instead get higher dextr which will allow you kill 2 birds with 1 stone (max block and AR up).
To overcome fairly low AR of this built (~2K AR as a base) furysin have many ways - first is CoS (-3% enemy defence per lvl with maxed CoS and lot shadow skillers you can get enemy defence -95%) second is weapons with -% of enemy defence so use on a switch weapons like razor edge (50% deadly strike, 50% OW, -33% enemy deffence per hit) - 3 hits of this weapon will drop enemy deffence to none existant lvl. Lastly for all monster but bosses/champ you can use weapon with ITD mode (Jah)
Venom btw is one the main weapons for this built its virtually irresisable 400 points of poison damage per blade get some poison facets and you'll become cusinatre

Razor's edge is actually -33% target's defense, which is different to -enemy def per hit.

Every hit is caluclated with enemies having an effective defense of 77% of the norm. There is no successive decrease of defense.

1 question: The guide says chance to cast on attack items dont work with blade fury. Then why is hwanins and stormlashes chance to cast static emphasized?

3.4 What works.. what doesn’t?
Things to remember is that almost anything works with blade Fury (ALMOST)… Here is a list :
What works
-Ignore Target Defense
-Deadly Strike/Critical Strike from CM
-Crushing Blow
-Hit Causes Monster to Flee
-Knockback
-CHANCE TO CAST ON STRIKING
-Hit Freezes Target
-Elemental Damage/Venom (3/4)
-Leech
-Open Wounds
-Hit Blinds Target
-Prevent Monster Heal
-Hit Slows Target
-Physical/Weapon Damage (3/4)

What doesn't work
-CHANCE TO CAST ON ATTACKING
-Pierce Target

Cause there is a difference between attacking and striking. A difference which is very small but which makes a large difference.

ummm... skill points and stat points are two totally different things. you cant save skill points to pump up stats and you cant save stat points to pump skills. so you could pump dex AND BF, but i prefer to pump SM and DS, etc.

im lookin for a 3 socket ethereal superior berzerker axe, cryptic sword, or mythical sword. crescent moon rulez.

btw, does stormlash have %chance to cast static? cuz it seems like in the guide it did, but everwhere i look it doesnt.

i follow your guide but with dragon talon instead, it just work excellent(kill baal in 18 sec), and has no ar problem, since my *** has 9500ar, anyway, thank you very much for your excellent guide.

Chance to cast on striking and chance to cast on attacking are two very different things. Lightsabre has the latter. Stormlash has the former. Carrion Wind has the former. Etc.

"On Striking" works with Blade Fury. "On Attacking" does not.

Diabloii.net items page is horribly out of date now. The Arreat Summit is THE best place for item stats, but it sometimes uses On Striking and On Attacking interchangably, when in reality the difference can be quite crucial. I think they fixed a lot of the striking/attacking confusion on AS, but some might still remain.

I had forgoten that there is chance to cast on striking, as well as attacking. Its kinda funny that "on striking" works with blade fury, when you arent actually striking anything, just throwing, which would actually be attacking.

It's when the blades strike that the effect goes off.

Want to be really confused? On Attacking works with Blade Shield, but On Striking does not.

So whats the main difference between striking and attacking? Can you shift- swing and cast stuff? Cause technically you would be attacking. Whereas with chance to cast on sriking you only get the chance if you actually hit them? Also, are casted or ranged skills/spells counted as an attack? This is way more complicated then it should be. Good ol' blizzard.

Just a note: The guide post has been moved into the Guide topic while awaiting submission into the Strategy Compendium.

Ritslev: If you wish to make any final updates to your guide before submission into the Compendium, please PM me.

Gloves would be Lava Gout, for the Enchant on striking.

So you are saying If I could afford BoTD, Venom & PN will work together??!!

Then what about Lava Gout & Demon Limb???

I found that one of the best weapons I used was a Gimmershred. Lots of elemental damage... not sure if it was more than a B-star but it really kicked butt w/ enchant & venom on...

Nali, that is a great honor... I do ask though that you give me a week to make changes/edit...

ATM I'm recovering froma shoulder operation, due to three broken ligaments, so my typing skills are bad. My attention span due to medication/pain releif is very short...

Thank you.

Blind target form Umbral is now working

Traded for a bonehew for merc for later on...got a 22%ed/-15rq/attacker takes damage of 5 jewel for it so as not to worry about str req...

Its getting better again.
Oh yea got rattle cage & goblin toes going right now

Najs circlet
AR & mana ammy
rattlecage
goblin toes
umbral shiled
blue bone shield w/ resists (179 def)
hexfire
moonfall
raven frost
mandral heal
hwainn's belt

NEW FURYSIN ARMOR!!!!!!! i have seen a screenshot of it in the paladin forums, under the topic entitled "New runeword?"

its is called "Duress."

it includes 15% crushing blow, 33% open wounds, 45% cold resist, 15% lightning, fire, and poison resist, -20% stamina drain, and 37-133 cold damage.

plus, you can put it in whatever armor one should choose, to allow for much higher defense than upped rattlecage for on AND off ladder, and more tweaking.

this is simply uber. plus, the only mildly expensive thing is the UM rune. the recipe is Shael Um Thul.

can anyone confirm this in game, with a screenshot with the blue "timestamp" thing bnet gives u wen u log on? (It is now XX:XX o clock and there are XX players playing XX games on battle.net)

in the pally forum thread, there are several "hidden" runewords for ONLY bnet. there are some testers trying stuff out.

Ritslev, if this works, i suggest you edit your furysin guide to include at least a suggestion of this armor.

heres a screenshot

also, check out the pally forum thread for more "new" runewords here.

also, cowtestickles gave this link to some old supposedly disabled runewords. if you have runes to test with, i suggest starting here. (try the helm ones first cuz the helm runewords are terrible!)

im also posting this in a separate thread, i want people to know and test. think of all the future builds that may be possible!

IM ECSTATIC!
