Thanks @BBS_Agonistes and @gregth for your advice. I will hold my runes a little and hope for a Lo or another Ohm. I'm planning to move from LK for a while when I got my Forti, though. I'm still missing a lot of useful S/U like tal armor/ammy, griffon, nightwing, mara, soj.... so I think I'll move to Pindle/AT sooner than later.

I'm also moving my hammerdin through hell, but Enigma is very far on the horizon.

My strategy when i was on the same state as you are was to prioritize enigma above everything else
Running LK is very boring but listening to good music/podcasts while doing so helped a lot, and farming all the S/U with my hammerdin was so efficient compared as before i don't regret all these hours farming those Sur

I'm a sorceress player, but could try that for a change. Where do you farm with your hammerdin? Chaos? Trav?

I personnaly like CS a lot. I runned it with /players3, so that I could level him up to 93 so that i could start amu crafting

holy crap

I was running her to keys at /p7 so the "Ohm" wasn't from her normal rune drop table, which only goes up to Ist. It's funny because I've always know she *can* drop up to Lo. The higher psetting increases those weird drops, but also reduces her normal rune drops.

I did over 1k runs of NM Andariel with over 500% MF with the Blizz sorc in search of a second SoJ... nothing.

Then I went back to run keys of Nihlathak and this dropped off a random monster in the mob.



I should Charsi this and go for a second, better Anni, right? My current one is a 15/15/5%.

Then I went back to run keys of Nihlathak and this dropped off a random monster in the mob.

Just MO, but I'd rather have a second SoJ than a 2nd Anni. After the 2nd SoJ I'll be all in on looking to upgrade Annis.

Makes sense. I don't really have a sense of the relative value, to be honest. And I'm probably somewhat biased in that Anni seems much shinier to me than SoJ, but probably mostly because it was never a possibility in all my years of single-player.

I immediately sold my 2nd SoJ and grabbed an Anni. To me it was a good exchange since I swap it around to whatever build currently needs it. Some of my builds would benefit from a second SoJ (or a BKWR which I don't have), so once I have a 2nd SoJ all the rest of the future SoJs are going to become Annis.

But then your ring graphics may not match if you equip dual SoJs (or other ring that doesn't match one of the two SoJs), which would be tragic . . .

here's my immediate impression ...

- if you have an soj already then I'd try to roll a better anni. especially if your going to eventually try for a 99er becae that 5% exp is low.
- if you don't then it's up to you. I use my bk ring/raven/rare/Nagel for the 2nd slot usually, so I normally only use 1 soj at a time, if that. it's just that finding sojs for me is a rare occurence. you could easily justify rolling your only soj for anni for the tradeoffs ... but getting that 2nd anni in single player over rolling your only soj is a judgement call.

your story about targeting sojs with no luck but getting one without trying specifically is spot on.

to me, mentally it's tiring targeting items specifically ..m better to just play the game for fun and let the drops happen. of course it makes more sense to play the odds but rng being how they are it's best to have a clear mind about things.

Good point. I'm probably not going to tackle a 99 anytime soon, and that's the only low roll--the other two smack in the middle and that's fine by me. With torches in SP res and stats are easy to come by.

It's a failed unique. In L85 areas, this one is about as rare as Darkforce Spawn and 3 times as rare as Griffon's, hooray!

• The Countess hooked me up with an Um rune and a second G Face
• The Summoner hooked me up with a Shaftstop and Jalal's Mane

Tomorrow we move on to Nihlathak.

Spent a few more minutes with the Countess this morning just for fun, and she yielded a Lem rune and a Shako! That's Shako #3 for me in D2:R, so one more character is getting themselves a helm upgrade today.

LK keeps on giving, quite a lot of skillers today (PCombat, P&B, Elemental) and the second skiller with a healthy amount of life.

After finally sorting out migrating items from patch 2.4 > 2.5 I thought I'd give my untwinked 99'er a go again. Windy druid @ lvl 94.

Wanted to farm some runes at LK for RW to equip my merc for Uber Tristram and upgrade my current RW (Hoto and CtA). This happened after around 30 runs. Duriels Case got upgraded to Forti for my merc.




Its a nice welcome back.


Then I thought to switch to some key runs as well with Andy and Mephi.




You might say, whats so special about Tal Rasha's armor. Well, in 20 years of playing this game I have never ever found it. I believe my current SP grail is about -10, but this items has eluded me all those years. If I had not traded it on Battlenet I would not have believed it existed. And the best part, my AT blizzard sorceress can actually use it!

Now lets see how Nihlatak feels about dropping CoA and Tyreals Might...
