.d2 or .d2x (character or stash) usually stashes (.d2x).

Let me know if you receive anything else.

yes I did give up on atma.
Sorry i'm still confused what file do i open to change the User_Name to get this to work and I am using windows vista.
Thanks for the help.

I am a little confused here which OS do you have? Win2k or WinVista? Which type of code do you mean? The tip about finding your characters in ATMA/GoMule or the gold transfer tip? Or another tip I missed entirely that you are following?

Once I know exactly what OS you are using I can help you find your characters.

Okay I apologize, I forgot that most people do not have hidden files/folders enabled by default. I'm not sure if winvista is the same as win7, it should be very similar.

Open a folder and click organize. Then 'folder and search options'. A box should open up then click the view tab. You might have to scroll down, but change the dot from 'Do not show hidden files, folders, and drives' to 'Show hidden files, folders, and drives' just click on the open bubble. Click apply and then OK. You should now see a lot more files that you did not before, they should appear somewhat transparent now. Do not worry if you do not see any right now, just a heads up if you start to worry about seeing them.

To find your User_Name if you do not already know it if you click on the start menu and on the right there should be a name at the top whether it be User or Owner or another name just change User_Name to that. So if your
User_Name was Owner, then it should be:

Before the change
C: \Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\save

After the change to the correct user name
C: \Users\Owner\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\save

P.S. You probably should browse there instead of copy and pasting. It probably would be easier so that you can repeat the process without having to keep this copied somewhere. Plus if I accidentally put a space or misspell something it will not work. ;p Good luck and hopefully this works. Again this is win7 instructions if it is different for you let me know and I will do a search using google for a winvista version to 'view hidden folders and files'

ATMA Help

Been using ATMA for a while now and today I started having an odd problem. When I go to open my stash within ATMA, the bottom read out displays this:

Bad file size (0)
Unable to load stash file

If anyone has a quick fix it would be much appreciated, would hate to lose my stash. Thanks!

Re: ATMA Help

You must be using an older version of atma to load a 1.13 char/stash carrying essences. Download the latest version (or the patches).

EDIT : You can check out the stickies, Im sure this problem is addressed there with all kinds of possibilities.

Help! I had an ATMA file disappear!

Help!

I have had an ATMA file disappear. Of course, it was my stash with all of the unique items I've saved over many years of playing Diablo II.

When I click on the file and review its properties, it says it has 0 kbytes.

I have found a series of files under ATMA/ATMA_CONFIG that have the same filename but with a number and they are a .org file rather than a .dtx, ie:

Uniques1.org
Uniques2.org
etc.

with Uniques1.org being the most recently saved file.

I need advice. Is there any way to recover my lost file?

Re: Help! I had an ATMA file disappear!

.org are the backups of d2x. You can change the most recent one to .d2x and recover your stuff. also, make sure you have the most up to date atma that's compatible with 1.13 if you play that version

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

It appears that my RWM/RRM install isn't quite up to date with 1.13. This is what I see when I visit Akara:

http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x208/Kretschmer/?action=view&current=Screenshot005.jpg

For comparison, my vanilla install:

http://s184.photobucket.com/albums/x208/Kretschmer/?action=view&current=Screenshot006.jpg

Installed the 1.13 rune files; is there something that I'm missing?

And how do you remove RRM? It seems redundant in 1.13.

Okay it appears that you put the wrong links to which images were which. The reason I know this is because your Screenshot6.jpg is linked to twice.

And how do you remove RRM? It seems redundant in 1.13.

You can download just the RWM for 1.13 here, it is on the front page.
http://www.chrisclarke.co.uk/D2stuff/PDFs/RRM RWM/RWM for 1.13c/RWMfor113c.7z

In order to get rid of RRM I would just delete the extra folders that you added, namely RedRuneMod and RWM, and reinstall RWM for 1.13 over again without the RRM, using the link above. I would go ahead and redo the shortcut again just to be safe. After that is done please let us know if you can make the runewords or not. I would use Edge as my first trial, its pretty cheap and easy to make. Please upload a picture of your diablo2 folder directory and your RWM shortcut. This way we can check your folder structure and make sure you have the right thing in your shortcut. Also are you using win 7 or win vista by any chance? If so please let us know.

P.S. I'm a little stickler on the rules when it comes to this one. Please edit your post if no one has replied to you and you can still edit it. Your last two posts were within minutes of each other. Thanks.
@Thy I know I linked directly to your website, but I did not want him to accidentally install the wrong version. If you object to this please edit my post as you see fit. Thanks.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I've been using ATMA V with no problems but I recently tried using GoMule and it seemed to be working fine at first, but I realized that 3 of my chars don't load properly. Every time I try to load them in GoMule it loads the same file, so it loads my lvl 11 sorc even though that sorc is lvl 28 now and has different items. I read most of the other posts and tried changing the security settings for my Save folder but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions?

edit: Using Vista btw.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

How do you install RWM? Like where do I extract the folders to? I know it says Diablo Directory, but is that just the general Diablo 2 folder? I only have 'save' and 'support' as folders within my d2 folder. Do I put it in one of those? I really have no idea how to do this. Please help !

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I downloaded the 1.13c RWM fine from the the link, but when I rename to .zip and try to extract, Windows gives me an error complaining about how the folder is empty and can't be extracted. If I try to open it, I get an error "Windows cannot open the folder. Folder "....\RWMfor113c.zip is invalid".

Not sure what else to do here - it's clearly not empty, as the file size matches what's listed in the download directory, but I can't get it to extract. Running Vista as an admin, if that matters.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

@TheRebel22

If you get it from the 1st post on this thread, you will see a "How To Install.txt" and a shortcut.gif in the .7z file.

Read those two files, if you still don't get it, ask again.

Diablo 2 folder means the directory containing Game.exe and mpq files.

@JihadJesus

Don't rename the file because that file is a 7zip file, not a zip file.
Windows doesn't come with 7zip support.
Get 7-Zip here and use it to extract that file.

.7z is a .zip file. Renaming from .7z to .zip should work absolutely fine. Always has before. Maybe it's a Vista thing. Let me know please.
