Elevenlang - what versions have you played?

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

I meant what versions of DIablo II have you played? :)

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

D2 ver1.13

Okay that checks out unless you are playing classic (ie no expansion). Is this a fresh start from 1.13c or did you have any previous items that you used. I also would like you to include stuff or characters that were from 1.13c if it was more than a while ago if you stopped playing in between.

For copying the error message what I meant was: after you open your character that gives you the disconnect issue, look under the messages tab. There should be an error there and that is the one I meant for you to give us.

I also suggest in the mean time that you move off some of the items using ATMA from the character that will not load in GoMule and see if he will load minus one or more of his items. Then it is simply a process of elimination to find out which item it is. I'm pretty sure if he loads in ATMA it is one of his items. I would probably start with minus all his items then load them back one by one. Create a special stash that you can delete later so you know which items you had on him in the first place. Include all stash and inventory items.

whenever i open ATMA this message pops up and i dont know how to fix it please help

Adobe Reader could not open 'ATMA V.7z' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file hase been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't correctly decoded).

edit: i'm using a toshiba and windows vista with adobe 9.3 if that helps

Why are you trying to open up a .7z file with adobe? 7zip is a free program that unzips various types of archive files. Unless you have some other archive program that handles .7z files, that is probably what you would use to open it.

Just to make sure I haven't totally misunderstood you -- you haven't installed atma yet, right?

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

in gomule i can't seem to get to my characters i've extracted the file right it opens up perfectly for me but whenever i try to open up my characters or add characters i can't find them. Is there some piece of program i have to type in to get to them or something help please

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

A few weeks ago I re-installed windows on a new computer and to get a 1.13c version of ATMA I used the link in the first post of this thread. Today I attempted to open stashes with a Token of Absolution or an essence and they both crashed. I downloaded the separate 1.13c fix, but that did not solve it and all of the included files were already present as expected in the 1.13c ATMA download. I looked back to Silo's original 1.13 ATMA patch post and downloaded his files that I had been using before my re-install. Those files contain an updated 'patchstring.tbl' file that appears to be missing from both the 1.13c ATMA download and the 1.12->1.13 ATMA patch that are linked from the first post of this thread. Silo's patch worked as expected.

Silo's post here.

Are you using windows 7 or vista? If you are and have diablo2 installed in the program files folder then your saves are not going to be in the diablo2 save directory if you are not running as an admin.

You can find them here (if win7/vista) change User_Name to the long in name.
C: \Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Diablo II\save

Win7/vista do not like/allow you or any programs messing around with the program files directory unless you are an admin.

P.S. Did you get ATMA working or did you give up? If you are playing expansion version 1.10 and later GoMule will not be a problem. The only time it will be a problem for GoMule is when you play classic or pre 1.10 patches.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

yes I did give up on atma.
Sorry i'm still confused what file do i open to change the User_Name to get this to work and I am using windows vista.
Thanks for the help.

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Is there any way to make the gomule drop calculator more ATMA-like?
Imo, that's gomule's only downfall.

C: \Users\User_Name\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progra m Files (x86)\Diablo II\save

Find out what your user account name is in Vista. If for instance your user account name is "cade88" then you will find the save files here:

C: \Users\cade88\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progra m Files (x86)\Diablo II\save

How can i transfer gold from atma bank to GoMule?

I think the only way is to load a character full of gold in atma, then open that character in gomule and put the gold in the gomule bank. Rinse & repeat. If someone knows a better way I'd love to know about it as well.

If everyone who reads this promises not to use it other than to transfer ATMA money to GoMule and NOT add money they do not actually have then please read the spoiler below. Thyaid if you have any problems with this please delete it. I am simply providing it for informational purposes. Anyone who clicks on the spoiler should be smart enough not to abuse this. Hopefully that is.

***THIS IS AN ADVANCED TIP NOT TO BE TAKEN LIGHTLY***

***ONLY FOR TRANSFERRING MONEY TO AND FROM PROGRAMS***

***Take extra caution this might mess up your gold supply***

***Be sure to close each program completely before trying this***

ATMA
***Be sure it is closed before trying this***
To change the amount in your ATMA stash to 0(zero) you open up your ATMA_CONFIG folder inside there should be a file called, ATMA_config.ini Open this file with your text editor (use Notepad) and under the header [Data] there should be a listing of bank_funds= Write this number down and change it to 0. So that the line reads bank_funds=0 Save the file and close up Notepad. You can now open and check ATMA to see if the gold is now indeed 0 in ATMA.

Now for GoMule
***Be sure it is closed before trying this***
Go into your projects folder and look for a file called project.properties (NOT projectS.properties, no plural on project, the file you want should be, one folder under the folder that holds that file). This file can be opened with a text editor as well (Notepad). There is a line for bank= just use a calculator to add the amount that is there with the amount of ATMA gold you written down earlier using a calculator. Then type in the total amount to the right of the equal sign (=) Close the file and open GoMule, your new gold amount should be displayed in GoMule correctly.

Example if you had 1000 in GoMule and transferred 1000 gold from ATMA. Your amount looks like this bank=2000

Thank you for reading this and PLEASE do not use this for any other purpose other than the one requested.

P.S. Sorry for all the bureaucratic red tape, but I'm trying to protect mine and your butt. ;)

Re: ATMA/GoMule/RWM etc - Help Thread

Hi, sorry if this has been done, can't find it with search.
Patch 13, latest version, Windows Vista.
Just killed Hell Mephisto, and he dropped, amongst other things, Essence of Hatred.
Now ATMA fails to open my character, 'Some data may be corrupt', press continue and I get a message ATMA cannot open the file C:\.......atma_gfx\xxx.dc6. Then it freezes!
When I look in C:...atma... there is no xxx\dc6 file.
Am I doing something wrong? or illegal?
Cheers
Dai

Help wanted

Anyone fancy doing a simple guide to using ATMA and/or GoMule? :)

I know GoMule has a very comprehensive manual but maybe a bit daunting for new people. I need to find a new link for the ATMA guide but if anyone fancies doing a simple intro to that, that would be lovely.

PM me if you're interesting in doing either. :) Thanks.
