Well I'm progressing slowly but surely. I've found a very helpful item so I decided to update myself =]



When I get an ID scroll I'll ID that bad boy, I just checked it out and it has some massive life leach so that should help me out at least until it breaks.

Good tips guys. Hopefully my build is not too item dependent, so I should be able to focus on things to keep me alive rather than keeping the best equipment in play, but yeah, if I get something awesome they'll definitely be useful.

Oh, and regarding the lycanthropy thing as a summoner. Wow, you'd think that would have entered my mind at some point, but I've never even considered it. I'll have to have a look and see whether I should forget about the bowling (even though I've already spent some points) and look into an alternative backup were-attack. Thanks!

by going the poison route you'll by default have teeth and CE so you can nibble them to death and then blow them up!

Ouch I was thinking of a javazon but the difficulty of keeping a steady supply of javalins might keep me on the bow or spear path.

I've decided to join in with an Assassin, probably playing with traps which I'll start as soon as I get back from vacation in a week and a half.

No, I tried rearranging it by how far you've gotten, which is how the winner of the tourney is decided, that's the way I'd like it, as it is the most useful to determining each player's progress.

To edit the table, instead of clicking the "Post Reply" button, click the little "Quote" button, and delete everything not inside the CODE tags, then update you char inside the CODE tags and put your post either before or after them.
If someone else doesn't get you, when I post my update tonight, I'll go through all the posts and get a good update.

Anywho, started my char, an assassin, OneFingaPushup, haven't invested any skill points yet because I haven'd decided on the build I want. But I just cleared out the mausoleum and am on my way to the crypt.



 
Finally got to a nice stopping point. I cleared the Stony Field and next time I play I'll just run into the underground passage. I've just been going around killing everything with whatever potion/weapon i happen to have at the time. I STILL haven't figured out what kind of 'sin I want to do, I keep debating between DTalon, TS/DT and LS. Also don't know if I want to go claw/claw or not and BoS or Fade. Argh! Why are assassins so versatile?
I've only bothered picking up one ring and ammy, both were utter garbage. Found some nice charms and armor and I've got a nice stash of ID scrolls for when something gold drops...

I too have just cleared the Stony Field. I'm not entering the Den, the Burial Grounds or the Cave, because the rules said you must continually make progress - and I feel those areas are not making progress. Just my personal interpretation, I guess.

A Lvl 3 Ice Blast and a Lvl2 Static field are the principal weapons. I have several points in Warmth - but, boy, it takes a long time for the Mana to return!


Most of all, I needed to update so I am not on the bottom of this table!!!

Good God I never thought I'd miss ID Scrolls and the ability to repair items...

Should we continue to order players by level, or maybe location?
 
Got to level 14 with DieAlone. Points go steadily in 3RS + 1SM ( or so... ). No problems so far. Saved Tamoe Island and Black Marsh ( is it the name? wow... can't remember ) for future bodies supply. Also the Den is saved for now.

Just a question - can we use the stash through Atma ( not hotmuling, but after S/E? It is not a mule on, since everything is found by the same char and we are allowed to use Atma anyway for muling off.

Was there any rule?

Going along easily with my summoner/maybe Hybrid, depaend on what I find.

You can only use atma for muling off that's it. No peeking at your unid's either, You have to use your scroll to have a look.

So I have my game on pause now after finding the horadric cube, since I have a question. Can I use a TP to go back to town and use the Dry Hill WP or do I need to walk back to the Dry Hills and continue from there?

I just realised a BF-sin would be ideal for this task. She doesn't need IAS so she can use Fade, her weapon doesn't lose durability and she has enough skill points to still have nice traps along side. I only spent 3 points in the MA tree so far, so it's not too late to reconsider my build.
 
Hi everyone!

I started playing this when I saw the last thread, in an attempt to get a head start, using a Bowazon.

As I have a philosophy of "if it ain't players 8, it ain't worth playing", I had a VERY close NDE with *drum roll* - Rakinishu! Having no potions, I had to run about shooting at him for approx 20 mins, all the while he's shooting out charged bolts like a catherine wheel (in case you don't have these or they're called something else outside of the UK, they're a spinning firework that shoots off sparks and injures 100s of people every year - they're really cool!). He was regenerating faster than I was hurting him, so eventually I had to leave him alone.

Anyhoo, I wasn't happy with my Bowazon, so I've gone retro with a summoner. He's now plodding along thru the cold plains, with only 3 skellies for company.

I think you'll have to walk back, as the rules say you cannot return to town, unless it absolutely necessary in order to progress your game.



 
Even with too many D2 projects already going I couldn't resist this tourney. Took a pali through Act 1 nothing too eventful. But I did have to park Fouldog (CE cursed misshapen) as I totally ran out of pots after I got him down to 1/8 life. By the time I could scavange two more minor heals he was already back to 1/2.

Only good find thus far has been Hotspurs. Which should be really nice for the Sewers and BigD if I make it to Act 4. Only tricky part is their durability is already down to 3 :sad2: . Also got a failed unique Rondache. I've never really noticed failed S/U's before, but this tourney has be weighting the durability as the most useful mod on most items. Also has been fun gameplay thus far. Never thought a mace of icebolts could be so useful. And it is literally painful for me to leave all of those chippies and rejuvs on the ground.

if i understand correctly, you can only s/e at waypoints?
What happens when u kill all the monsters, s/e start playing some other time and the monsters spawn... it says not to rerun areas so... are u supposed to run passed them?
