About MH/chicken/etc being harmless...

That's not always good enough when everyone tries to build for 1-2 hit kills.
There's a lot of SC PvP builds that aren't played because although they could win lots of duels, they couldn't get the ears.
<Unless you're refering to people in general, including PvM, in which case, good luck leaving at half life when 3 dolls pop on you at once, or an extra strong, extra fast, fanat frenzytaur catches you after being amped by an OK, etc etc -.->

What about knowingly benefiting by someone else comitting a crime?
Depends what you mean by knowingly, if you mean some random person murders my rich uncle that I don't like and I inherit millions as a result, no.
If you mean I know the fellow is going to do it, and I do nothing to stop it because I know I will benefit, then I'd assume it's a crime, but if it's not it's still very wrong.

Because you won't answer the question, outside of magnitude of the effect on the economy, how is botting different than MH?

i only read about half this thread, but i gotta say i have completely differrent views than pretty much everyone here. what does it matter if someone cheats? that's good for them. if they want to think they're "uber godly" because they chicken, tppk, bot etc, let em. but when you get your legit character up to 99, you can rub it in their face about your experience and skill.
what other people do(aside from tppk) doesn't really affect you. if you're in a ball run and someone's MHing to find the minions, join another game, or join an a1 game and run ball yourself.
the only hack that i dont like is tppking, simply because of the cheap shots it takes. it's no skill for a kill, where as a legit dueler takes time, effort, and skill to take an ear
and to everyone bitching about hacks, play private games. yeah, it sucks. exp sucks, noone there sucks, but you get what you want. a nice, clean, legit game.

Exactly, I totally agree. Hacking is in every game. It is what you decide to do is what really matters. If you want to use mh and chix go right ahead. No one is gonna convince me to use it though. If you get knocked by one of the tppkers, oh well, cry me a river. Build a better character next time or be more cautious at what you do. MH = I need a crutch, Boting = I am a lazy ebay seller, Chix = Hardcore wanna be, tppk = back stabber. All in all it is an enhancement outside of the realm in how the game was suppose to be played. What makes one hack legal and the other not? $5 comparison!!! If blizzard wanted those enhancements then I think they would of added them but what do I know, I am just a regular player.
