23 Runeword Search Thread

thank you wathombe for the great compliment! although just wasting a few high runes here and there, i wouldn't call myself a martyr.. yet :lol:
well i just got ShaelUmDol, now i need to find a 3 socket shield so again, be back in a bit when i find one for the results

Edit: ShaelUmDol in a 3 Socket Kite Shield is a Gemmed Kite Shield :grrr:
All thats left that I want to test is ShaelUmTal in a shield so off I go to mf :thumbsup:

I think the original blood released in some magazine had Jah and Ber if this is true and the above recipes were to be actually be close then my bet would be Sur instead of Sol and Shael. Cham and Sur are one rune above and bellow Jah and Ber and we've seen a few of the new rune words change their runes one up and one down from how they were previously written.

Maybe Ral El/Eld/Eth Dol for RED? I think that this kind of adstract thinking is alot more worth while because as we've seen not all of the clues for a rune word make exact sense, Bramble for example gives an example of itself Rose, while Hands of Justice is SCAL(e) which is related to justice.

Just wanted to point out that you're missing a few runes on certain letters. L can be Lum, Lem, Lo. I may be missing a few, but everyone should know what to look for by now, though I wanted to make sure they remembered to look.
 
well i took one of the new warcraft 3 maps, "excavation site" and leveld it to the ground, destroyed every tree, all the critters, lots of things look like runes, one thing actually looks like a zod rune, but nothing really was of any significance =/
 
PearlJam: Any random testing using three runes or more is recorded on the "Random 3os+ testing" page toward the end. That's good that Works reads the file (assuming it reads it correctly). Does it show you all the pages? There are about 24 or 25.

Farmer: I still haven't had a chance to compile all our Warcraft speculation. A few people had gone through and suggested formulae based on names in the "History of the Warcraft Universe" document, and I want to put them all on a page. Hopefully I can do that sometime this week.
 
ok. i go a Tal, first Pul, and a 3 socket shield. i'm 4 pgems away from a second Pul to make an Um. then i would only need a Shael to test out ShaelUmTal in a shield. wow to think about it i traded that guy about 120 pgems, and then in a bit would be 160. heh. i'll be back in a bit with the results, assuming i will get the gems fast and shael too. just a heads up

Edit: ok the guy is currently busy rushing his friends so I'll get the Pul rune later. still need to find a shael tho

wow good thing happened to me. really! cool thing. I almost died twice in Chaos Sanctuary in NM (i play hardcore ladder) and first thing, the seals are always in the same place and i just teleport through a bunch a monsters. then i lag for about 10 seconds and when it came back my merc had killed the monsters so lucky me. second, i almost died again from the bottom lower seal, because when i open the bottom left, those monsters with Ventar the Unholy usually spawn in the other end by the other seal. but they didnt! out of all the runs i did in my d2 years, never have i seen them spawn at where i was! i almost died again there. but long story short, nm diablo dropped a tal ammy and now i can trade for ist + for more trials :winner:

ok. just tested ShaelUmTal in a 3 Socket Kite Shield. Gemmed Kite Shield. well that's all the testing for me till about next weekend because school starts tomorrow. check it, that's ShaelUmDol in a helm, ShaelUmDol in a shield, ShaelUmTal in a helm, and ShaelUmTal in a shield, and they all don't work. well good luck guys, that idea lasts a good few days. if you guys wanna check it out, it's on a USWest account called, 916_Test. the password is 916. Feel free to go on and look at the failed products. take it if ya want, if it does any good for you

we're not really close, i think it's the 2400 post one in the necro forum *i might be wrong* but we're definitely posting faster than any thread i've ever seen, and it's not flaming or other ****
 
You know, I was wondering, how the heck did people find the 3 out of 4 hidden runewords so fast, within weeks of each other, the last time round, and how come it's taking so much longer this time, without any success, even though they increased it to 23?

Because those four runewords were implemented client-side (which means they were located on your computer, and in text form), while the new 23 ones are only server-side, meaning there are currently no certain indications as to what they could be (there are probably, or should I say possibly, hints from Blizzard, and our quest here is to find them, understand them, and eventually use them).

ahh sometimes i wonder why i even bother
i'm gonna go play some d2 for the first time in 2 weeks, but i gotta go rebuy a expansion cd cause my cousin and me got in a fight and it got lost... i think he threw it out a window or something

oh ya and i'll be able to keep up with all my mad posts cause my semester this year at school is great, school on monday/wednesday only, lots of correspondence courses though, but hey it's no biggy, besides i have some runetesting i'm gonna go try
