23 Runeword Search Thread

oh. I see the tabs now.

Didnt know the tabs could scroll over o.O

But why are some of the boxes X'd out?
For the double rune rune-words anyways.
ex. Shael_blank_blank in swords. shael_shael anything is x'd off.

But runewords can have 2 of the same right? Just look at Sanctuary...

edit: does any one need a LF zon? i have a full set up and char that i can give to some one if they need her. she can make hell cows but not NM. PM me if you need.

The double rune cells were blocked-out at the beginning for 2 reasons.
1-We figured there would not be a 2 socket word with a double rune.
2-It made the sheets easier to read with the x's going down the diagonal.

Why the x's in the 3 socket grids? Same basic reasons. It hasn't stopped us from trying the double combos.
 
Hi guys. Amazing to realize how much of a difference Wathombe makes to this thread, I expected to spend the next hour or so reading all the posts I thought I had missed instead it was only 10 minutes. I expect a number of people have been lost to WoW, but I have faith that they will be back. I have heard rumours that people are already trying to hack it and I, for one, wouldn't pay a cent to play a game that is being hacked, no matter how good. I believe when you buy WoW you get one month of free game time so we will hopefully see people coming back soon if the hacking is true.

I have had a few more ideas from WoW in the last few days, mainly place names, but I'll wait until the spreadsheet is back up and running before I put them here lest they get missed.

What do you think the possibility of Blizzard giving us 23 Christmas presents this year is? Christmas is more or less the 1/2 way mark for a 9 month ladder season so...

the war3 ladder season was over like 2 months ago even though it started the same time as the new d2 season, but lasts years d2season actually ran 12 months didnt it? so id say we would prlly have to wait till february sometime for the 1/2 mark and maybe a few hints lol..... yea right bliz help its players HAHAHAHA ;-)

anywho, ive been playing war3 alot more and trying to figure some things out runeword wise from there, but now having many ideas, just basically whats already on the spreadsheet, im debating going back through the single player campaigns, i could have sworn i found a few items that didnt have any use at all to the game so maybe that could be it ???

well thanx for the help everyone... ill make a promise although itll be a while before it happens, next ladder season if we still havent found/obtained the new runewords, ill quit my HCL useast and head over to scl uswest and join the main squad in the hunt :-)
 
Man oh man i've been totally swamped with work. But, I did find time tonight to finish off the core functions of the web app. The site is now password protected, so nobody can really perform any tests until you get an account. Anyone can view the grids without loggin in.

Also, I am looking for volunteers to do the data entry for each of the grids that are currently represented on the spreadsheet.
 
Season One lasted nine months, from October 2003 until July 2004.

There are indeed useless items in the SP campaigns (not least of which is the godly Bling Ring - the very last item you can find in the Orc Campaign of TFT and utterly useless by the time you find it) some of which are clearly Diablo related...Wirt's Other Leg being the prime example. Keep an eye out for unique items (such as Frostmourne) that have a history attached to them and are so legendary that they will make an appearance in WoW. Just remember to not just look at names but at the effects that an item has on you (which may indicate runes). Frostmourne has life steal and cold damage which is why it seems to be such a good candidate for a runeword made from Amn and Thul (ARTHAS) in a sword.

Every post up to #3415 has now been captured on the web app (please feel free to verify and report any errors). Much thanks to stilts3 for doing the vast majority of the data entry.

Now would be a very good time to switch over to using the app full time. So far only 6 of us have accounts to update the web app, but anyone can use it.

I propose a period of time in which we continue to update the spreadsheet until everyone is comfortable with the new system. At that point, we can probably stop updating the basic grids in the spreadsheet, although many of the tabs will remain useful.

From the last time i posted, one of my tests got posted slightly wrong.

I tested um lum, but not um lem.
But maybe someone else tested um lem??
I figure it just got written down wrong since its one letter difference?

Also, the online app doesnt have the following tests of mine posted, (kinda minor really, but wth?)

hel hel, io io, ko ko, and fal fal.

And I am pretty sure I saw someone else had lum lum tested.

edit - these are all for 2 os sorc orbs, just figured that might be important.
 
cherokee i got enuff runes to finish off mal-mal on orbs from doing classic forge rushing. Been doing it for 3 weeks straight.... When ur around ill give u the runes.....
 
OK, sorc orbs were "verified" before I enabled same rune entries -- so those were missed. Thanks smashin!

jones, WOW, that's terrific... I will be on tonight around 9 eastern to collect the runes. Also, I can join in your hellforge rushes most evenings if the timing works out. I can contribute 2 characters at a time. Interested?
