This tournament has already ended. It was originally started by Cygnus on Nov 1, 2007. The last post was made on Dec 6, 2007.

Pindlethon 4[/B]
Hrus has moved off Diablo and the SPF (temporarily ) and I thought I'd do my bit to continue a glorious tradition. To quote Hrus, "it's here. Let's slay that ugly charging zombie-skeleton"
If you are familiar with the previous Pindlethons, you know most of the rules. I've made a couple of alterations, but it's mostly Hrus' rule set. Why change something that's worked well?
1) Count your Pindleskin runs
2) The Tourney ends for you if you have done 2000 Pindle runs or...
3) The Tourney ends Nov-30-2007 local time midnight.
4) You can use any player settings.
5) The winner is the one who gets the most votes from other participants for the best items (depends on usefulness and rarity), only tourney participants would have completed at least 1000 runs can vote.
6) For the statistics purposes all found elite uniques and sets must be noted and reported at the end of the tourney as well as jewelry with qlvl higher than 38 (SoJ and better) and Tal-Rasha's Adjudication amulet (qlvl 26). These items are called "qualifiers" in the counting. You don't have to pick up every single IK Maul and Dangoon's Teaching if you don't want to, but keep track of it and report it with your final results.
7) The prize: SPF immortality. Bragging rights. At the very least, you get to keep the items you find.
8) Even if you don't finish 2K runs in time, you are still obligated to post your results.
9) After you finish 2K runs or after the deadline, you should post your best 5 items with full readouts. It could be qualifiers, runes, rares, magic items, whatever you choose. The voting for winner will be based on these 5 items. Then post the list of all your qualifiers (preferably sets, uniques and jewelry separately). Readouts for these isn't obligatory, but specify if the item is ethereal. Then post the other notable items you have found, if you want to.
10) Only items from Pindleskin and his minions count, not the items from corpses in the garden. In other words, ilvl 86 items only.
11) Only accepted mods are 1.10,1.11, and variations RWM, RRM. FE mod is not acceptable, and also drop mods and other. Only legit characters. You can use different characters if you want.
12) Tourney starts November 1, local time. You can start whenever you want, but remember that the tourney ends in a month.
13) Final result must be posted in this thread latest by December 2, again local time. Voting will commence December 4, local time and will go on for a week, or until everyone has voted. The winner will be announced no later than December 11 Pacific time.
14) Voters will name 3 participants, in order of preference. Top participant gets 3 points, next best gets 2 and the third in the list gets 1 point. Points will be added up and the one with the most is the winner. A tie would mean joint winners.
15) To spice things up a bit: the participant with the most qualifiers receives the "packrat" award, all participants who complete 2000 runs but find 0 tc87 sets and uniques get the "luckless" award. If no one qualifies under the "luckless" criterion, those with 0 tc87 uniques get it.
That's it. Like I said, it's mostly Hrus' rule set, with minor tweaks here and there to address the questions that came up at the start of the previous Pindlethon. The only major change is rule #7 -- no prizes, nobody's going to take your items, you can't get others' items either.
Here is an example of how to post your final results (but you don't have to use the edit button to post your highest rune)
Please post updates at least occasionally, whether it is whining about how stingy Pindle is, the second Windforce for the day, useful rares, whatever.
Progress table:
The list of qualifiers is here. I will post a grand total count of all qualifying finds when everyone's results are in.
