She has a level 19 shadow master. That helps alot. The act 3 cold merc freezes most opponents and Poison_Ivy uses a barbed club with a couple perfect gems to beat them to death. That is how Baal met his end. The merc only had to be resurrected once because he has seemed to learn how to keep out of the way of the enemy. The Shadow Master had to be recast a few times because she goes toe to toe with her adversaries. Poison_Ivy obsesses on Vitality, so she can take a punch pretty successfully.

She finished with a full complement of equipment:

Wolron do you have any problems with the SM vanishing on you? I have one and it seems to sometimes vanish when I am moving around. I think its when it stops to buff itself when off screen but not really sure.

I am not sure what you mean by SM. However, my guess is that you are referring to the Act 3 cold merc. He is always vanishing on me. At first, I just thought that he was lost, but then I began to notice that his cold spells were materializing from a spot on the screen that was empty! Obviously, he has a cloak of invisibility!:shocked:

EDIT: I figured out SM!!! Shadow Master! When I went back to play Poison_Ivy again, I noticed that the SM was gone. What I discovered was that she was off screen. As soon as I got into a battle, she came running into view. Since I usually play with the map on, I could see her "x" was definitely off screen. Now, have I ever seen her vanish?? Not that I can recall, but I will be looking for that now that you mention it.

She started to leave the camp and I decided that since she needed a few items to wear, I would check the vendors to see what was for sale. Sometimes they are selling exceptional items, and sometimes they might even have an obsession on them (hope springs eternal, as they say). Well, nothing useful was for sale (no surprise there). But, I remembered that there was always a chance for a good gamble, so I tried. The first item that I tried for was a simple pair of boots. But, they ended up to be not so simple! They were Tancred's Hobnails!!!!! First of all, I have never found them. In fact, they were my last standard set item that I needed for my grail hunt (I still need a lot of the expansion items of course). Secondly, Poison_Ivy had found a Tancred's Skull a while back and had saved it in ATMA just in case a second of Tancred's items could be found. Wearing the Hobnails and athe SKull turned on a +10 resist all on the Skull, so now Poison_Ivy has a helm and a pair of boots where she did not have them previously!! Now all she needs are the switch items and a helm and shield for the Act 3 merc.

For the point about the SM disappearing, I've had my Valkyrie disappear from time to time while questing. Normally it happens when I'm wearing alot of faster R/W and get way ahead of my minions. The mercenary will teleport to me but sometimes the Valkyrie does not. Thankfully they can be recast.

Only thing I found useful was the anya reward, gave me a griffon helm with +3dire wolves and a couple resist. Never found a 2socket elite polearm/spear so I could make a strength. Baal dropped nothing but some normal set items. I didn't find one exceptional unique or set item yet. In Cry.Passage found a thul rune finally so I could upgrade a rare sash to demonhide so I could equip a belt finally. Ended up not having and gloves or boots. I decided I didn't have the damage output to face a horde of cows, so the risk vs reward wasn't something I was going to try.

VANG: Nice work with Bubba. I did not have the same result out of my Druid. Bear_Lightning died at the hands of Treefist Woodhead. Since BL's only attack was Molten Boulder, Treefist and his crew were just too fast for him. He could not lay down enough boulders to do significant damage. He ran around for quite some time trying, but finally got surrounded and could not escape. Oh well, it appears that the wolron team will begin to lose the weaker members.

I retired Bubba, act1 hell was quite..difficult. The wolves and merc had a hard time mopping up anything, and I felt with a bit of equipment I could go all the way to Guardian status with him. Great through the game, fairly safe, good all the way until act1 with nothing. Starting the assassin now.

Unfortunately I have to report Rayne meet her end in the Dark Wood. Was going for the scroll so she could save Cain and Treadhead Woodfist was a bit too much for her. Her defiance merc died after a few seconds of battle and with Treadhead and his coherts being Extra Strong, Extra Fast, Cursed this mean Rayne couldn't run away (they were just as fast). The problem was that she wasn't keeping a tp in her belt as she didn't have a belt and needed the potions, so no easy getaway. Rayne tried running around and throwing firewalls up to eventually get rid of the brutes, but each time she cast a firewall, they caught up and hit her once. This when on for a few minutes until Rayne atracted the attention of a spearwomen pack. She changed course to avoid them and one of the brutes stunlocked Rayne. She was quickly surrounded and killed without the chance to cast another spell.

I think I'm done here for a while. I don't have any good ideas for another character yet and seem to be dying rather stupidly recently overall. I'm going to concentrate on my Green with Envy character until I get him killed to, then go on with my restart I began a week or so ago.

Lightning-Blade ravaged act 1 brutally. Grabbing a 3socket Bardiche, couple topaz in it proved quite thrashing. Upon reaching level 18, I went an gambled myself a big maul. No useable mods showed until a +5% or so lightning resist, so I equipped it and my damage about doubled. With 100str(give or take a few) and 105 after equipment, I am I lean mean sentinel machine. Andariel went down rather quickly on /p8 as well. Nothing of not found, and imbue quest gave a nice ring mail with 20%light and 24%fire resist and a few other decent mods.

Trashed Act2 on players 8 as well, dropped duriel to /p4 to make it a bit less time consuming. Got 4 uniques in the act, Nagel, Nokozan Relic, Shadowfang and Skewer. To bad only one was useable, and a socketed warhammer was 3x better(not to mention I don't have the dex to equip it) Gambled a decent rare warhammer and was alternating between than and a cubed up warhammer and shield when I could use more defense and some minor resistance. Finished my first obsession and am level 27. Second Obsession, you guessed it: Shadow Master. It was a tough choice between this and Venom or Fade. But in the end I think the extra meat shield, the array of abilities(Cloak of Shadows) outweighs either of the other. Damage with Maxed Blade Sentinel and Maul is about 120-140 right now and a duration of 13seconds on it.
