1.07 News, Info and Gossip

Depends on what lottery ticket you want to buy. The resulting ilvl is clvl * 0.66 rounded down (so clvl 60 = ivl 39 not 40 as it would be if it was 2clvl/3) For amulets, qlvl of set/unique is the same as ilvl. I think Tal amu is ilvl 26, which means any char comfortable in hell could roll one. The uniques are higher, see the old 1.07 guide for those ilvls.

That only covers set/unique. For +2 skilltab, you need clvl 61 I think, while +3 skilltab would be lvl 91. +2 all skills would be lvl 137 which makes it impossible.

Thanks, I was couple of seconds away of posting those numbers myself :) Guess I should search first and ask after next time :oops:.

So yeah, I think I'll wait until lvl 91, In my opinion, in this case more possibilities is the better option.
 
No, if I can consult Arreat Summit correctly. In fact, only affixes that I can find that fall between 60 (clvl91) and 65 (clvl99) are:

"Flaming" (Weapons, +81-120 Minimum and 131-180 Maximum Fire Damage, alvl61)
and
"of Transportation" (Boots, 30% Faster Run/Walk, 80-90% Slower Stamina Drain, alvl65).

So no (possible) jewelry affixes after alvl60 it seems. But since no one seems to be sure if those numbers at Arreat Summit fully correspond to the ones 1.07, and because of the ilvl99 bug, I'd craft with the lvl 99 char just in case. Because you can.

I have no idea why the occational craft gets ilvl 99 or why +3 skilltab sometimes shows up on gloves when it shouldn't be able to with regard to ilvl/qlvl. A lot of the buggy behaviour is also still a mystery.
 
Not at all. I've personally tested around 300 crafts (which yielded only screenshots, as I had my character write-protected when testing) and I had all sorts of buggy behavior. However, as the items themselves were deleted upon save/exit (write protected, remember), I had no way to check output item level.

I could check by duping the ingredients, but that would be a lot more time consuming, and just ONE misstep regarding which items are duped and which are not would seriously compromise my conscience. I don't trade, but still.

The difficult truth is, no one around here know their way around the game files well enough to check and confirm what is really going on with crafting. Not even the clvl*.66 formula is even 100% confirmed. There could be other factors, and we simply do not know. And at the time, 1.08 was released so quickly no one had the idea or time to fully explore 1.07, which is why the patch is such a mystery today.
 
Decided to roll some LK maps for my low lvl sorc and got one with a stable balrgon skin rack 3 tele from WP. Doesn't change really at all, and is part of a campfire set up so I think I'll run this until I get 1-2 of them. This character isn't safe enough to venture much further, unfortunately. The weapon rack drops an ataghan and seemingly nothing else useful even if I cast hydra so *shrug*

Is it worth even popping that rack? As far as I can tell there aren't any unique ataghan's in 1.07
 
it doesn't improve. I've tried a few different things multiple times. Quhab is the other stable thing I can get and if I wanted those I would literally pop any other chest considering how few items pop from most objects
 
Question: Are there any 1H weapons in 1.07 that give 2 to all skills? Just trying to min/max +skills on my cow mules (oak sage, etc.)

What about +2 or 3 druid skills?

edit: can clubs spawn + 2 druid skills?

It should be the same as later versions. Just can't get +2 all-skills on rares.

- Missile weapons and spears for Amazon
- Scepters, swords, maces and hammers for Paladin
- Wands and knives for Necro
- Staves and orbs for Sorc
- Throwing knives, axes, spears (?), clubs, swords, hammers, maces, javelins (?), knives (?) for Barbarian
- Clubs for Druid
- Claws for Assassin

The only difference was that knives couldn't spawn Barb skills in 1.11 but has anyone ever seen spears or javelins get them in any patch either?
 
I think on javelins, ya. Maybe I'm thinking of + skilltree, though?

For clubs and druid skills, then: is it just "+ 2 druid skills" max on blues or can it be skill tree + 3?
 
Thanks @pharphis for mentioning the hydra! I was wondering where to put spare points, and completely forgot they could reroll racks. Quickly put point in there and half an hour later it yielded results.

Other things found during map rolling: this tease of a scepter, nice, but unfortunately ethereal tri-res boots and my first 1.07 Ethereal 4 socket Great Poleaxe. Time to roll new Insight in 1.13 I guess.

Currently running the GPA rack, the map also has Balrog Skin rack so maybe I get lucky, who knows. I'll most likely reroll soon though, not the quickest map out there. GPA rack can also be manipulated to drop Colossus Swords, I may try to get an eth one for 2H Death in 1.13, always wanted me one of those.
 
What is the best place to look for Tal Rasha's Amulet in 1.07? Bloodraven? Council is probably the best, but I don't think my sorc can take them on with enough MF?
