Yeah I thought the jewels were really the only thing to hit up in 08. I have a bunch of ilvl 90 rare jewels, but doubt I will go to 08 for that

But something people should know before deciding to get something from you. And I'm pretty sure you can't trade or MP... or the "rules" for people caught with non legit items changed (you can call it a mistake if you want... if you didn't restart you are tainted - to say the least - with non legit items).

No, what you do on your pc is up to you. If you want to trade here however, you can't be tainted at all. Same with MP.
Hi all. Im currently giving this here patch a try. Its pretty unforgiving. Im glad im almost at hell anchients for my last xp buf. Is it good to get the xp now or later? Im currently level 44 a little underleveled lol. Anyway ill be posting from time to time. Hope to see lots of fun1.07 posts.
Honestly, it doesn't really matter much in SC since if you die whatevs.
I leveled a bit excessively because I wanted to equip things like wizzeh before tackling most of hell but you can easily just level after reaching 56+ from ancient's from cows or whatever else you prefer.

Thx, ill do it that way. Hardcore sounds scary. I have not died alot. But its still very hard to go against de seis or duriel. maybe when im done ill give hc a go but not yet. Is there a guide to get more then one char in a game? Maybe i would dare go hc if i had a bo slave of sorts.

my 99er was a BO slave. You need to get the multi instance .dll file somewhere in the stickies but I had a headache getting it to work for some reason (though it should literally be copy paste).
Ya, oblivion knights + Duriel are the scariest parts (other than baal, ofc, who will 1-hit you in hell in most cases)

well im 54 from anchients. how long would it take to get to 85ish? could be months well, ill try some racks. How do you get a good seed in nihlathaks temple? I mean what would be a good effecient way to get them racks?

Some people like a backup spell to help with mega high cold res, such as fireball. I didn't bother, since I dumped my extra points in warmth, tele, and a few in ES iirc. Most important thing is to max FOrb + SF + many points in CM (you can max this as well.. I think I'm 1 point short at lvl 92)
85 will take quite a few cow runs. For now, I would find a decent nihl map with a rack you like and just kill the champions nearby (optional evil urn if you can handle it) for variety/experience.
There are two sets of armor+weapon racks in a random corner of nihl temple... that is if you go to the last floor which I always did. You can approach from. The rack will usually differ depending on the exact path you travel, and order of racks popped, so for a given "good" map (whether that means it includes evil urn + champions in a spot you like or not it up to you) try different paths a multitude of times until you get the drop you want. You can also include casting hydra (either 1 pt or weapon switch wand) to change the racks a bit, too.
At it's simplest, you should be able to take 8 different paths hitting the racks in order 1234 2134 1243 2143 3412 4312 3421 4321 where 12 are paired together and 34 are paired together in one of the 4 paths.

Trying to get a few chars into hell mod so i can maybe get more xp from cows. Or will this not add anything? Anyway im happy to matriach in this patch. will hit the racks lateron. Is it best to just do the last lvl in nihlas temple?
Seems absurd to get 99, how long did it take you jeezzz, awsome you got to the end i doubt there are many that can say this over the span of 1.07 as a patch. Also becauseit was patched so quickly. I started diablo at the start. Always single player and without patches. So i played 1.00 and then 1.07 for at leat a year because we i did not patch it. I remember i did not get far, months of playing before i got to hell mode. I remember i was totaly focused on armor, wanted as much as possible ( on my sorc haha ) Did not have a clue about res beeing important. Did not know about crafting. OR anything about the buggy nature of the patch. I printed out the arreat summit almost entirely. I thought that all was dropable. I remember really well when i dropped a russet armor for a monster. one of the very few good drops. insainly happy. I did not know what it would id into just flabbergasted at the item. Never been happier since with any drop of any kind. Anyway, great to have this patch finished so long after its initial release so many years ago.
Ill keep updates on progress find whatever. Will also have questions im sure, thx for the help

Cows give much better exp than nihl's temple.. I only killed things in there to be less bored with rack running and to get a bit of exp on the side... and more players in game will increase exp for cows as well. The characters have to be IN the cow lvl if you want better drops, but that would require beating hell with them iirc... (and making sure they're safe in the cow lvl presumably). I would just rush a few chars to hell to sit in the game.
I'm not 99 yet! I have about 10 hours left of trav runs to go from 98.7ish to 99. I know of 3 other 1.07 99ers off the top of my head (Fabian from cows and 2x nulio from travincal lol)
If you do eventually desire running travincal you can get lots of the great rackable items from them as well, such as vamp gaze, skullder's, valk wing...
