Forum Mafia - The Dark Tower Game Thread

I don't mind locking. I don't think locking will do anything this time as Gwaihir as the first voter already got a highlight.

Can we get a vote count please?

Unless he just wanted a lock fmo anyone but whatever, impossible to say

Since the game ends either today or tonight, I'll come clean. It was a gambit; I was hoping someone would go - "Hey, he miscounted and isn't really locked! Quick, unvote and lynch Noammr!" But you people are just too darned stubborn.

Since I'm locked now (as of Moar), I guess we'll have to wait to see what happens. If I survive the lynch, I probably kill Roland tonight. Our kill on him failed last night, and I'm assuming he was protected by Zauper. I'm gambling that Zauper can't protect a person two nights in a row.

If I don't survive the lynch, then the town has won.

Until then, I guess we wait for Drixx.

Is it you ?

Vote: Drixx

I wish I could extend the game forever and give you guys cool stuff from the Dark Tower series, but I think this game is going to end wicked fast at this point unless I just make everyone death immune :)

Well ... there is someone who can alter the course of events. They have 90 minutes to decide.

Why do you post this? It is clearly some part of a role that somebody hasn't claimed yet. No need for you to do that.

Again, why do you post this? Can't you just let the game develop as it goes. I do not see any reason for moderator involvement for your last two posts.

@ Drixx
Sorry if I sounded angry. I didn't mean to do so. It is not easy to host these things and I wouldn't ever try, honestly. Thank you very much that you did and I'm sorry if I hurt you with my postings. That was not intentional. I just comment on what I feel is not right before thinking if I could send a PM. Sorry again.

Actually, I did not. I am hoping CG is Mordred and that the highlight somehow helps with his lynch. But it is just as likely that the first person to vote CG gets a punishment of some type as numbers did. I am really, really hoping for the first one.

I knew I would make mistakes just simply from never running a game in this format before. I've made a few in the QT's which required me to have a little give and take with each side to keep it fair. I expect to be roundly criticized for those things as well. Criticism, in my case, is welcome because I'd like to host regular games but the only way people will play my games is if I can fix my mistakes and run fun games without making the mistakes again. Any and all criticism (preferably with solutions) is welcome.

It's incredibly difficult to offend me.

Also, I've found, it's very difficult to predict how things will go. This game has had a number of situations where roles and chances interacted in strange ways. I just hope it ends up being remembered as a fun game and I get a chance to run another one and do a better job.

As for how the end of the day goes, I'm hoping the dead people will read the dead thread and help me make a hard decision. There are two sets of mechanics in direct conflict with how this dayphase resolves and I'm not sure which should take precedence.

For what it's worth, if mechanics are in direct conflict with no clear 'winner', random.org is the best way to solve them.
