Batman - The Dark Knight Mafia Game

I can jump on any waterboarding train any day.

Two Day (or one "daylike" depending on how one views Twilight) phases worth of discussion is always a good thing in my book. It gives Town better scope to go in direction. The group that do not like Day phases and discussion is the Mafia.

How would Night start going into Day start be more beneficial to the Town than Twilight going into Night going into Day?

My view is that if there is a spam-fest like it tends to occur on Day 1 in many games, I would rather get any spam out of the way in Twilight rather than have a good chunk of Day 1 be cluttered with it and have proper discussion instead (and a Twilight with a mechanic like in this game is by itself a spam filter). Personally, I am a huge fan of Twilight.

Yes, the twinkle stages aren't fun unless we have a goal to work towards: ie dragonmoar or intergash.
Certainly beats night starts and 3% of the players getting NK'd. Certainly beats day starts with 87% spam. Gives everyone a chance to feel each other out. Let's game questions be asked.

Agree: do love the new twinkle-phase mechanics.

Another question about interrogate/prosecute: If one of the top two vote getters are night killed, will the third place winner be elevated to silver?

I wants to push the big red button!

:scratchchin:

Related question: What if 2nd highest and third highest have the same vote count? Will the first (or last?) to reach that count be eligible for lynching on D1?

One more I'd like to add:
What if both (or one in the case Gory asked about) players to be prosecuted the next day die during the night, will there be a regular day vote?

You guys really do like to question things. Since this is a new mechanic and I am a nice mod, I will grace you with the answers to your questions.

If its a tie, the number of players prosecuted can potentially be expanded (to a certain point mind you) to the number of people tied, this would function the same if the people interrogated are tied for first or tied for second.

Yes if one dies the "runner up" will be promoted upwards, however if both die tomorrow will continue as normal with no second vote.

I think twilight/day starts are basically the same, more cautious than night starts (too little can set off lynch trains). Alternatively, night starts may have some random, but I prefer them. We know enough about each other to make educated guesses on powers. And NKs, although there is some resemblance of respect so that the same 2 people aren't nk'd early, which kind of puts mafia at a disadvantage.

Water board: Flub

Posting, and way early at that?

Noodle should definitely be interrogated. Waterboarding is a serious issue that needs to be addressed. Anyone who jokes about it seriously has a dark and disturbing soul. I say we Waterboard him to find out if he's scum (he is)

"Dark and disturbing", like, oh, I don't know, the freaking Batman!?! I'm certainly not role claiming, but I find it interesting that you cite two signature traits of the game's hero as if they are bad traits to have. I'd say that puts you firmly in the anti-town camp.
