Gods of Ancient Greece. Forum mafia game.

Asking for more info without trying to look like you are asking for more info? I think yes. I especially like how you say I refuse to claim after my X-shot revelation. Can you point to me anyone who has asked for more info about the X-shot ability and I refused them? Day isn't over yet. Chillax.

Claiming yesterday give mafia a chance to act at night. Without claiming, I was just an un-claimed player who was recently put at lynch-1 (I think). Not exactly the greatest threat to mafia. You are correct it wasn't the most townie behavior, but that was by design.

Which makes even less sense that you would divulge some details about your role and not give follow up information.

I bolded all of the important parts

Artemis is my role. Hades was to draw reactions, and since Hades was the first thing I could think of that was evil with respect to gods, I figured we could get a lot of people an excuse to divulge their thoughts on alignment in this game. I would suspect several town and mafia to jump on board and say we should lynch me because Hades is typically evil.

This was a response to Jcakes's post. I caught him, and I'm so happy that it worked.

Okay, explanation time!
I'm Artemis, with 1-shot blood swap
Blood swap:
Pick 2 targets at night. If one of them is killed or investigated, their names will be swapped.

I couldn't find any examples of this online to compare to, but the closest I can think of is the Forensic Scientist from the Create Your Own Role Mafia Game mixed in with some kind of bus driver. So cute!

I picked Sath and myself the night Sath died, and when the mass claim started I knew I had to get in there early with my (barely) hidden claim as Artemis. I figured that there was a really good chance that one of the mafia would fake-claim using that name, since they would have (presumably) been given that name after killing Sath, if they killed Sath.

In other words, I really really really think Jcakes is mafia and he took Sath's name at death for his fake claim.

Thoughts? I want to get back to studying, but there should be SO much to discuss for everyone else for the second half of this day.

I am having a hard time following this. So you are artemis....which was Sath's role? What was your original role? I am confused.

Or are you saying that when Sath is killed he would have shown up as artemis due to a blood switch? I think thats what you are saying which makes more sense. Interesting about JCakes. So you are and always have been artemis, and when Sath died you switched blood so Sath would show up as Arti-Party giving you the chance to see if anyone stole his role upon seeing his death.

Exactly.
Also, Arti-party is hilarious. I thought you said anti-party at first and was confused.

So now that CG has been locked, maybe I can ask you for your thoughts on this, if CG flips town how likely is it that the reviver is town, if CG flips mafia how likely is it that the reviver is mafia. Do you think we will be able to connect anything from this after his flip?

I think we will be able to connect things. I'm not yet sure what things or to whom the connections connect, but they are out there. We just have to find them.

If CG flips town, I think there is zero chance the reviver is mafia without some sort of redirection. However, I have a hard time imagining a redirection for corpses and without time travel. To phrase it more like your question: If CG flips town then I think the reviver is town.

If CG flips mafia, I'm not sure any assumption other than what I've already said can be made. A townie reviver can pick wrong. A mafia reviver can act like a townie reviver that picks wrong.

It seems strange that out of everyone so far you two (and Hercules or Hercales or whatever) are the only ones related to that specific genre of Greek mythology. Maybe we will understand more once Laarz actually comes forward with his claim.

There may have been a third: Leo. She pointed out the Joxer reference and told everyone to get off Laarz. If Leo was a Greek God, I don't think she gives Laarz a pass. She didn't seem very surprised that he was part of the Hercules/Xena franchise. She even accepted it. It's not illogical to conclude she was also from the Hercules/Xena franchise. Leo even dropped a name of Gabby, who was Xena's sidekick in the show. It's a guess, but I don't think it's a bad guess.

After all of the things that were posted today, this is what your hanging your vote on? The detail of the role description that each of them gave? Don't get me wrong, after reading through the thread now I would have locked CG as well, but there have been games where people were lynched and or killed and all that was revealed was the word "cop". Take the cheers game for example. There were two cops that game, one for alignment, and one for role, and they were only described as "cop", and if I remember correctly TC helped with the hosting for that one.

There were several reasons for my vote (starting with FOE's claim). Rather than specify each and every reason, I disclosed the reason no one else had mentioned. Whether I vote before or after that post, I still make that post.

If this is true.... it's pretty epic. I'm smiling just at the thought of it all.

And just to confirm: Jcakes claimed your own role name? That role name should be given to Sathoris' killer (and to be shared with faction members)?

LOL........ she's dead!!!

Oh right. Completely forgot that last night. Sorry Leo. :( but hey if it helps, you (Leo) can think of it as my revenge for you blowing me up in all my circuits game. :p

and you messed up "quiet" twice now ;) *pokes you* ;)

Aye I did. I always mess that one up. Trying to improve though, so thanks for pointing it out.

On the phone atm on my way to work. Going to try and make a better post sometime during work.

I can't top pharphis' post, but here is the rest of my info...

My X-shot ability is vigilante. It's a night only ability. On N2 I used it on Solar Ice. My reasons for targeting SI are stated in post 468:

"I did NOT have a townie read on Solar Ice. In fact, my read was pretty negative. He didn't come out guns blazing. He was relatively passive. He threw up softball questions and didn't follow up on them. He found CG scummy (and voted) for the same post I considered townie. Based on their D1 play, I think the most likely player to trigger a bomb would be Solar Ice. If he would have survived, I would have a tough decision between voting Zokar and voting Solar Ice."

SI was townie. He was Hermes. He was a bus driver. I know my vigi shot took out SI (not just aimed at SI) so no switch was involved. I breadcrumbed my ability and SI's alignment in posts 551 and 558.

yes, he claimed Artemis in his first (?) post of the day, then commented on Hades as well in response.

I don't know how easily the town would have figured this out if you were lynched, but it is pretty clear this way. I guess if you were being lynched and you didn't kill at the very end we would have assumed you already used it, and it could be pieced together. Now your strangeish no claim near lynch makes a lot more sense.

Ok that explains alot.

I am actually Apollo. I am a cop. I investigated Pharphis on Night 1 (due to our vendetta from last game, if he was anti-town I wanted him dead) and received his name Artemis and his alignment (Town). I claimed Artemis to find out why he claimed Hades. I also didn't want to claim Apollo as it is fairly obviously the cop role (given Apollo is god of truth).

Nice job on the name claim Pharphis. Definitely going to throw a quote JCakes way.

Gory's Vig kill was night only btw. And then there were two (extra kills, that is).

This post makes me want to believe you are town, but I just dont know. You could have gotten all that info and just straight up killed him yourself, and a Vigi is NOT going to be a must kill mafia target during the night with a much higher chance to kill a townie than a mafia. Eventually yes, but you had no reason to not claim.

Also, you saw and interpreted Laarz as from the Xena universe before you claimed which I also dont like.

This post is helping your cause a LITTLE bit but thats about it

Hey JCakes, then why was Gwaihir Apollo? At least according to the name ThunderCat sent me after night 1....

So JCakes is definitely scum.

Pharphis getting a free pass needs to be decided because I definitely did not get that Sath was Artemis. "Hermes" being a bus driver, definitely gives plausible belief. I didnt want to call out pharphis last night if that was the case and I am happy I didnt because JCakes just ate his own hat.

Caluin Graye was Cronos
Leopold Stotch was Athena
Sathoris was Poseidon
Solar Ice was Hermes
Gwaihir was Apollo
Martin Long was Dionysus

JCakes gotta go. and yes that is Zeus only ability. So I am a sitting duck for sure.

Phar being bus driven is plausible, but it had to have been with someone who didnt die and gory is claiming it was solar ice so he didnt switch him with himself I guss. If theres another driver might be useful to get some more info on the matter.
