I still think Laarz is scummy becaue I think breaking trends is usually a tell. he HAS been lurky lately, then wasnt to start.

I wouldn't hold it against him, things change in peoples lifes. I, for example, have usually been posting a lot more than I can now due to my living / family situations having changed quite a bit. 25 cm of snow and the gf's daughter have kept me busy today. I also wanted to build a snow castle for her... (for myself).

@Ankeli: Who are your top suspects for today? Who would you consider a good lynch candidate?

You because you keep going out of your way to tell everyone why you're not or are available and when. Like you're trying to gain trust where no trust is to be gained.

Moar because of her treestump claim. Before that I had her as a maybe, now I think she's mafia. A mafia that has a one time lynch immunity or something. I'm bending towards firing a vote towards her today as a) she's the most likely to reach the needed count and b) if it is a one time ability, then it is out of the way.

Also, I would LOVE if mafia try to fake a treestump in the manner you describe. There are multiple ways to test a treestump. I place a vote on the "treestump." I wait for a vote count update. I see my vote counts. I have just exposed a lie. Easy mafia lynch.

This isn't you. You just don't perceive a treestump that way, having played in the games you have, for example the Half Life game. I was convinced you're a townie before this post. Now I'm quite certain that you're mafia, but I doubt we can get enough votes on you and hence will save voting for you for tomorrow.

Now it's under 3 hours before nightfall and still no lynch coming up. So it looks like no lynchday. So why not lynch me instead of no lynch. It'll show that I can't be lynched. It gives more information than a no lynch. I'd rather see a oynch on somebody else, but prefer my lynch before a no lynch.

Not true, there are plenty of ways to mask the truth and present it as actual truth. What if she has a one time immunity? What if she has external protection? Lynching her today doesn't prove anything other than she was being at least partially accurate in that she can not be lynched (at least for today).

Also, I remember reading a role that wins if you lynch them.... ha! Now that would be funny

I think we're letting Moar off too easily with her claim. She mentioned she would have liked to claim later on, but decided to so today because 'she was under fire', which was a massive overstatement. If we don't lynch her now odds are we never will and I'm not too comfortable giving her a free pass for the entire game. (see what I did there franklin?)

Same general question to you: Why do you associate alignment with a name? Which names are good and which are bad?

You mistake my post. My intention was not to tie the name and alignment together, yet disprove the 'wild theory'.

The game we are in is about gods and not 'places', so seeing that theory seemed wrong. Turns out it was my greek mythology that was wrong.

Also, the good names would be the 'good gods' and bad for the 'bad gods'. Question is though, would TC make it that obvious? Or did he and leave it up to the scum to fake their names and do some research?

Not yet, but it's still early.

A lurker pointing out other lurkers, and even though you may think it, everyone has a posting habit.

The comment is specifically towards posting frequency. I've learned from each game and adjusted my posting accordingly.

@Sathoris: Just because we can't lynch him, doesn't mean he's a treestump and confirmed townie, but at least it gives some information, and Moar have seemed suspicious.

IIRC, you haven't unvoted for Pyro yet. Although now it doesn't matter.

I am always confused when Moar claims and usually don't know what to think as her actions go against what I feel about the scenario. Either way, she is locked now, so we at the very least gain some truth from it.

I know this wasn't addressed to me but... Yes. She was totally role fishing and that did not sit well with me. My vote would've stayed, with or without the claim.

You're being silly This is only my second game, I have no "expert opinion".

If, we want to take it from mythos, then well Hephaestus was the only God to ever return to Olympus after being exiled. This could suggest a one time ability.

Also, he was thrown out of Olympus twice and in some accounts he was lame from birth and in another he was lame from the second fall. This could possibly parallel her ability to vote now but not later if the second account is what was referenced.

I'm not suggesting that I know how any of this stuff works or should work or might work, just noting that there are some interesting parallels to the stories I remember. For all I know, the names could just be names for the sake of flavor and have absolutely nothing to do with anything else.

I'm just thinking out loud... perhaps I'll keep these musings to myself if it's causing distractions.
