You do like to nitpick gory. I said first thing as it was his first post of the day. Interesting that you attack me over calling it first thing when it was on the first line of his post, but then you are allowed to counter with me talking about two things within the same sentence.

I wanted to state what I thought (which is vendettas are a load of rubbish that is fun for pre-game talk) and continue the discussion to see other peoples reaction. My post to you and my post to pharhpis was the same, I was putting a comment out there to see what response it got. I got a bite from you. I didn't explain it as well in my post to you, so I explained what I meant better to pharphis.

I should not have put the bit about you voting for me last game as scum. I intended it as a joke and it was partly due to the frustration that everyone in the dead thread thought I was scum last game, when I thought I had done a good job of scum hunting. One thing I've noticed (partly thanks to you gory) is that I am scared to commit. I often point out things and wait until other people act on them out of fear of being attacked.I think it was at it's most obvious when I saw the inconsistency in Ankelli's story vs. TC's coroner results. I posted the inconsistency and should have sealed it with a vote. Instead I waited until other people voted as I was scared to vote for a claimed cop. You called me on that last game as well (I don't care about you being mafia - you were right it is / looks scummy) and it is something I need to work on.

Interesting that you go straight to Vendetta explanation for a NK. I don't think there was any specific vendetta from last game, although you could say that any of the previous mafia team (goryani, ankelli, pharphis, pyro) might be harboring a grudge given that it was his vote that lynched the last mafiosi (pharphis)

That was a very fast vote and based on the fact he is not lurking .... I don't know about you, but I prefer to encourage people to post.

First of all, I didn't express any suspicion of you.

Second of all, not giving any reason at all allows you to do what you are doing now - hope for somebody else to vote for the same person and just tag along with their reasoning, regardless of your initial thoughts/reasons. It becomes far to easy for you to lie.

To somewhat answer your question: I'm more supicious of you than I am of Gory.

A solitary vote can carry more weight than one with a flimsy reason attached to it. I figured Jcakes would just laugh it off so why bother pursuing it. Giving no reason can make Jcakes feel nervous and perhaps seem overly defensive. And he did just that when Goryani adressed him.

Interesting, always with the head games. It still sets you up for a no fault lynch on Jcakes though, and that's what concerns me the most.

I consider the person to build a case to be the only person placing their full backing. Of course that doesn't mean they are scum if the person flips town, quite the opposite is likely actually.

Alright so 8 am to 12 am, work, 1 pm to 2 pm meeting (cancelled), 1.30 pm (optional meeting, joined this since first one was cancelled) and last but not least I'll be home around 5 pm.

Awww how sweet, you remembered! But yes I want to be more careful. Heck I've tried being more careful, but this game is so confusing still. I mean I have the roles and everything down, and got a good understanding of the technicalities (correct word?), but playing it and playing it well... that's a completely different story. So in every game I've played since the very first, I've learned some new stuff, things to be mindful of, and tried to improve. I guess by now people don't consider me new to the game, but I'm terrible at social interactions, and even more so at noticing subtle hints and whatnot. I tend to take a lot of stuff at face value, and more often than not see the good sides in people. For instance people commented on Leo's post about trusting Laarz. Apparently that's be to questioned, in my head I read the post as a friendly joke. So to me this game is very difficult, believe it or not.

Nah not worried. But this is one thing I have to try and change in future games. I always tend to say something like "I'll try and do x at y point in time", and if I can't make it then I let you guys know, and usually include in the post when I believe I'll have available time to do whatever I said I'd do. And if that falls appart... well rince repeat and you have more 4 posts. But that's one thing I need to try and change about my playstyle, to just shut my mouth and do what I can to help town when I have time for it, especially on days like today.

Kestegs has a point with that question. I read over your post Sath, and kegs as well a couple times. Again this is what I mentioned above, I don't see things like what kestegs just pointed out. But now I'm left wondering too.

What do you make of this Vendetta talk?

Regarding Gwaihir, At Day start, given the events of the previous game, what ran through my head when I saw the NK(in no particular order):

a) He could have been killed in part or in whole due to vendetta from last game carrying over to this one.
b) Vendetta has nothing to do with his kill and he was killed in part or in whole on merit of being one of the strong and experienced players.
c) A frame-up of any the last game mafia team members could have been the reason for Gwaihir's NK.
d) Gwaihir was randomly picked for a Night Kill.

I did not find Laarz wondering about vendettas as reasoning to be suspicious, as I wondered about that as well.

If you had to pick one of the above options as a possible reason for the NK of Gwaihir, which would you pick and why?


Regarding Jcakes:

His contradictions have been thoroughly pointed out. His sucking-up to Goryani comes as a response to Goryanis post detailing said contradictions. I can see the case for a Jcakes lynch. However,
