Re: Black Blood Brothers Mafia Thread
Wow, what a game. RE, I must admit you have host potential. You might, however, try to improve on balancing the teams.
I would like to start my winning speech with an apology to Bad Ash. I hope you know this was the game and I played the way I had to play in order to win. I hope there are no hard feelings between us.
Secondly, I would like to thank some people who made this happen. My mother, my ISP, Valhauros for lynching both flip and Bad Ash and, Bad Ash who, if he hadn't jailed Gwaihir, Ankeli would have been dead and I would have most likely been lynched the following day.
Killing Asrrin was a fluke. During the first day he said he's positive that CG was town, thus I figured he might be a cop. Later I realized that there was no way for him to use his ability. Thankfully, we got him out of the picture before he had time to do anything.
On night two, we figured we should use the sire ability while I still have it. Sadly, Bad Ash got to me before I could use it. We chose CG because of the obvious reason that he was a confirmed townie due to getting Goryani lynched.
I then decided to assume cop and look like a victim. Otherwise people would have come after me due to there being no kills.
We got lucky once again on night 3 with Laarz replacing Leo and protecting one of us. If it weren't for him, the game would have ended a lot sooner.
Day 4 was when I thought there was no chance for us to win when I heard about Gwaihir's ability. But, by the end of the day, Valhauros and CG helped us get rid of one of the masons. This, I believe was the first event that changed the tide of this game.
On night 4 I realized that all black bloods were immune to recruiting. So I did a little digging up and I found Gwaihir was the only red blood alive. We had to use the ability then since I was afraid Gwaihir would come after me once more. And with no Laarz to protect me, I was dead. I would have been happy with getting killed if the recruitment went through, but events played out so wonderfully, that the outcome was something we could only dream of.
Our plan for day 5 was to hope that Valhauros would vote for someone other than us early and we could lock them afterwards. Sadly, Ankeli was the first vote so we had to shift gears and go after Bad Ash. 30 minutes before the day ended I was planing on taking a nap, but decided against it. Then, when I saw Valhauros voting for my lynch, I acted and thankfully managed to persuade him. My plan was for him to simply unvote, but he played right into our hands and went after Bad Ash.
Night 5 was the final piece. My initial plan was for Ankeli to go after Noodle and sent Gwaihir after kestegs, since Valhauros might have been NK immune. But then I realized that if Ankeli kills Noodle, flip might somehow come back (due to the lore). Then Gwaihir told us about the whole sage blood thing and I also remembered that kestegs mentioned a hidden ability. Thus, the final plan was for Gwaihir to kill Val, we I would go after Noodle. Just to be on the safe side.
To end, I admit that the mafia won due to luck. We got so lucky, that if we were to play the lottery now, we wouldn't even guess 1 of the numbers.
Congratulations to Ankeli, Gwaihir and Laarz. You've been great to play with.
PS: Ankeli, you're getting sloppy.
