Re: Ancient Druid returning to game
Haha! Oh man, I remember the intense vitriol that existed between the Paladins and Druids back in the day. Good times.
I want to thank Damric and Fattymcgee again. Due entirely to their efforts, my Throwbarb has been relieved from his (brief) stint of retirement. Kudos to you gentlemen.
So now that I've managed to conquer the Quill Rats and Fallen (and there was much rejoicing), I've set my sets on bigger game, namely the long term planning of my character. I've been reading a lot of guides and strategies lately, and I'm ashamed to say some of these have belonged to sites other than DIII.net.
Separating the fact from the fiction has become quite a challenge, and I cannot help but feel a twinge of skepticism when I read things like, "My barb's base throw damage is 6k, but when I use demon limb it goes to over 10k." I may very well be putting on my dunce hat after the conclusion of this ordeal, but near as I can tell level 23 enchant does not add 4,000 damage...
On a related note, I am trying to decide between Chains of Honor and Fortitude. I did a number of searches on this forum and the definitive answer I received from all the threads stated quite indubitably that there is in fact no definitive answer. I was hoping the members of this forum would be willing to share their own anecdotal accounts. At presents my resists are (+) 12 across the board, and I am more interested in upping my damage than my survivability. Obviously this gives a fairly good indication of which way I am leaning, but it is not an easy choice.
Thank you all for your help and advice.
P.S.- Leveling a Wind Druid before level 24 still sucks. News at eleven.
