Seriously, Blizzard is telling us for years now that any kind of 3rd party software might get you banned. Also, d2loader is needed for a lot of hacks and cheats, so it's rather efficient for them to check for that. They offered a no CD option for the game and you can start the game several times in parallel though multiple Windows users. If you used d2loader anyway because switching is a bit quicker then, that was your own decision. You knew it in advance, but you decided to ignore the risk or to live with it. Blaming others for your own decisions while you knew it all in advance won't help, it's your own fault.
BTW, if you got banned from bnet for using worse things, be grateful that you can mention d2loader as the reason while you had to come up with less believable lies after previous mass bannings. :smug:

Sorry to correct you mate, but there is absolutely no need for this. Why do you need to rub it in?
Anyways, just because some of the guys here uses loaders, it doesn't make them bad users. Some are genuinely nice fellas to play with and accept the ban for they know the risks involved.
For those who are angry about it, well, i guess that's the initial reaction for some when they get the ban. Losing fully build chars will make u lose it a bit..
Be grateful we are in this forum, where generally trades are done smoothly and scammers are at a minimal. (unlike the 'other' popular forum, imo)

Well I can easily confirm this. I've never used a hack ever but I have been online with 3 accounts at the same time. If I'm not banned it's the loader and not the fact that you are online with several accounts at the same time. Besides it wouldn't make sense for Blizzard to ban for that, since the limit of connections from 1 IP at the same time is AFAIK 4.
Why shouldn't we? Alot of the legit people take crap from people using hacks every day. Especially on public bnet. We are crap because we don't use mh, we can't play because we don't use loader, we can't duel because we don't have aa and whatnot. Now all those get banned, while the legit players stay. I'm not saying everyone in this thread that got banned are doing that, but alot of people did act superiour to us who don't use hacks.
And that was a golden chance to tell people they can become a PAL and whine in there, so not _every_ memeber of this forum will see it :whistling:

Maybe because the PAL members either don't play anymore or none have used cheats? Or they just want to chat about the bans with everyone else on the forum as well :crazyeyes:

well. we can consider it as sort of like a ladder reset. except chars get deleted instead of shifted and it's only us that it happened to. ^_^

No, the Mod forum is a forum for Moderators and Admins. It's separate from the Pal forum.
For the record, in the SPF we allow an edit to a Blizzard file for multiple instances (it was allowed when loaders were outlawed they have too many additional issues). The edit isn't accpeted anywhere else on diii.net - and it looks like this is also something Blizzard have banned for.
ATMA and GoMule the two SP muling utilities don't intereact with Blizzards files and don't tend to be in the same directory, so that shouldn't be an issue.

lol all these people complaining that they have had their accounts closed for "only" using d2loader.. d2l is a 3pp programme end of story.. you knew the risks of using 3pp programmes when you downloaded it so why complain?
even if you only used for muling ur still using a 3pp programme and breaking the rules.. nothing else about it lol :S

That? I got my main account banned I'm guessing the guy who g-rushed my new char on that used mh or loader. Ofcourse there was nothing valuable on it all my stuff is safely on a mule.

I think nay-sayers like you all who are condemning those who used d2loader need to have your head examined. I never believed in map hack or any other programs, I just simply wanted the convenience of not having to use two computers for two store-bought account keys (1 one of them I had since the beginning). I mean, have you ever tried transferring items with that insane temporary ban they have just because you switch characters a little too fast? I worked very hard and struggled to get back to the top of where I use to be, and I was just finally starting to get there, just to have it come crashing down due to a technicality. I didn't deserve it, and neither did those like me. Blizzard should have gotten rid of the spammer bots not the players. They also should given players what they want and fixed that technical problem giving them a way to load more than one Diablo 2 instance. I've lost complete faith in their judgement.

I had a most enjoyable time playing last evening. I found a few Baal games that were not run by BOTs and the gaming experience was cool.
So, I hear some accounts have been banned?

You can do that without cheating.

Only under Windows XP. Some of us are not rich and still have good old Windows 2000.
And it's not d2loader that got ppl banned (I wish it was), it was any mod to any dll, including the one single byte change in D2gfx.dll that allows runing 2 copies at once on one computer and is the only way under 2000 to do this.
