Kull likey post count, and we weren't giving him enough opportunities to up it, so he went back like 24 pages and found one of his own...

Tai I have been back for weeks and have not seen you once! WTF

*nero post - although not as bad as some of Toli's ones*

Doing my ussually yearly forum lurk...and of course I typically do a search for my own name. *grin*

KhaliShi was probbaly one of my more noticable successes. The Iron Baba. He could round up the entire cow level and tank it for an extremely long time - his best effort was tanking a full screen (and then some) of cows for about 3 mins before needing to drink his first purple. Lightning furry amazon's loved him in cows - Until they lagged out of the game due to too many cows + lightning + cow deaths + item dropping + all at the same time. I started rounding up maybe 1/4-1/3 of the level after that. Having your screen freeze for up to 20seconds or more wasn't terribly pretty.

Hell, I even dueled some Ith babas abusing the old eth rune back in the day. The Eth rune didn't help them one bit, since they had terrible ar anyway. They used Eth so that they could hit (since it used to set your targets armor to 25% instead of 75%). It raised their chance to hit me from about 3% to maybe 6% which didn't happen at all.

He had 2 stone runewords made out of Sacred Armor. One of which was eth. Both had crazy armor on it... The eth armor was only really used when I was sure to only encounter non-spell casting mobs, since the rest had to hit me in order to eventually damage my armor.

There's a point where you can get your chance to be hit to around 7-10% as I recal without using any shrines. All that is required is huge amounts of base armor, someone using the defiance aura (or in my case an act2 defensive merc) and shout.

Then factor in a shield....and have max blocking. Now your so called 10% chance to be hit is now effectively 2.5% chance to be hit since blocking doesn't count towards the 5% minimum chance to be hit hardcap. And finnaly.... even if they do hit you, you won't loose any durability off the armor for the most part. That requires you to be hit alot of times, and then you might loose a durability point elsewhere.

His gear was pretty uber, and was all self farmed except for 2 items. an origional 15%ED 15ias jewel from Dutch, and an Arreats Face from WildBill. A 297% ed beserker axe with 40ias, max dex raven frost, rare dual leech ring with some stats, thundergods, stormshield with a max resist jewel (and either life or dex), war travs, IK gloves, and finnally..... the Mahim Oak Ammy (+10 all stats resist all, chance to hit AND 10% enhanced defence is simply uber.....seriously).

Sadly he's probbaly player not found by now....

oh.... and the standard 2x echoing phase/dimensional blades on switch.....)

Holy Dead Thread Batman!

ohnoes necro post! It's going to push the other 40 threads that have been on the front page for the last week onto page two!

PvP is a different animal, but if you're looking for nigh-unkilability in PvM then you might want to try a build focused on integer pdr. You can negate almost all physical damage with the right pdr gear. SSoG's abbot used prayer, cleansing and meditation to regain the paltry life the build uses. I'm currently trying out a more offensive pdr build: An axe/shield WW barb with points into battle cry instead of shout. The battle cry is %dr, then integer pdr kicks in, and then any %pdr on your equipment for good measure.
The only drawback is that resistances are a problem, but both pallies and barbs have ways around that.

Heya,

Oldy but goldy. Anyhow, on the subject of PDR, SSOG's Abbot is amazingly survivable, but has less damage output. PDR barbs can get great damage output and double the effectiveness of their PDR via Battle Cry. There's a Guide in the Barb Forum.

Here's mine: PDR Zerker Barb

Cheers, :sunny:

I always knew you were the smart one of the forum.

P.S. It's funny I never even tried this character out. I also forgot how much I loved Dad Daniel.
Valar,
if you want send a pm with your email. I should still have the SP version of Khali-Shi around somewhere, if you want to mess around with it. Basically, go do Ancients, Nihilak, Kaa etc. Try to get him killed without actually getting killed. One rule with him..... no reseting hell ancients - even in a player 8 game. :) I have yet to deliberately reset hell ancients with Khali, and they have yet to beat him. hehe.

His basic gear is good enough for up to 4player hell. Anything more than that and he kills slow - which is why I tossed him one of those botd zerker axe to mess with in SP.
