Well personally I never check anything above the sticky. I just recently found out that stickied guides are placed temporary there.

The calculator I got from viet is too mind boggling.
I know you have an slvl 19 conviction, but would it be worth the points to push that to slvl 25? That's 6 more points, but what effect on damage would that have?
I'm running through some mage opimization charts, and assuming +14 pally/+10 conbat skills, by adding 1 point to the total number of points spent between FoH/HS, you gain about 3% damage from your previous total. However, conviction indirrectly adds 5% damage (assuming opponent has negative res already) or more (if enemy res is positive).
Thoughts?

It is close to imposible to wear coa w/o - req jewel with 125 fcr(hard to find amu 2 pala 20 fcr xx str). 2 pala 20 fcr 2 open slot circ is useless imo. In what muchup you use this circ? Shako vex'ed and lo'ed is useless too imo.Helms

if she is using shield you have huge char advantage. its close to imposible to lose this matchup. If she use claw block grief is good idea intead of foh stick.Trap Assassins - By far one of the most annoying duels.
you dont need to stack vs foh and v/t a lot. If your mage is foh oriented you will have same dmg as foher. Here comes conv trick. Dunno if you know what i mean but you can simply negate opponents conv same like with salvation.V/T or T/V - You will have to play pretty defensive if you aren't stacking or absorbing his FOH.
Its the only duel that mage can lose gm. 125 fcr, 86 fhr is must here. Throw lock is very usefull in this duel.Wind Druids - By far the hardest to deal with in my opinion.

you cant beat good windy w/o 86 fhr. Vs all other characters 48 fhr bp is ok.- I feel that the 55% fhr you gain from spirit shield is more than enough.
Did you skill medi? what fcr bp do you have with this stats?yes 9/5 is easily achievable but thats only if ur willing to get 94+... i am currently lvl 96 and i have 10k hammers / 4.8k foh (lvl 97 and i will have 5k foh)
as i said before ss vs windy is nonsens imo. you must have 125 fcr, 86 fhr and 4x dr.of course spirit and hoz is the best selection a mage can get but SS is placed as optional... where else can u get max dr if say u were planning to go against a windy or a barb that absorbed ur foh?

Its very easy to avoid traps with charge. Only what you need to do is wait for opportunity to atack(ie recasting traps).

if you have such a nice amy you are rly lucky! But im sure its close to imposible to get one, especially with other mods.1. nothing is impossible to wear in this game... if u are going to use coa on the tank mage variant then all u have to do is sacrifice a few points into strength and ur set... or if ur one of the lucky ones like me u can use a 2pally 20fcr 29str ammy
I never said that shako is useless. Its abslolutely best headgear in this game. Its better then valk 08 and all others. MAYBE it is possible to get more profits from rare circlet (2 pala, 20 fcr, 20 dex, 80life, xxres 2 soc etc) but it will not worth it imo. I use grifon and shako in my setups.i listed 2/20/2 circlets and shako as optional... as u can see they arent really listed in my recommended gear setups but if u can get 125fcr without having to use fcr helm and u want heavy hammer damage then shako is probably the next best thing to a griffons... thats cool if u think shakoes are useless the keyword is that its ur opinion anyway...
25 fcr grifon, 20 fcr gloves, 20 fcr amu = 60. you still miss 10 fcr to get 75 fcr breakpoint or you will have to use arach. arach = 8 dr(just from eni). also i dont use it at all couse im playing eu nl and my only belt is bb.2. so what if hoz takes up 8 slots? for foh that is by far the best shield in conjunction with foh scepter... unlike some people i am not such a fan of having so much stuff in my stash so stash space is the last of my concern
imo ONE wisp is gm. traps will not hit you if you will keep half screen distance and charge in circles around them.5. its close to impossible to lose to a trapsin IF ur sorbing... but say if its GM sure its easy to dodge traps with charge but u cant run and cast hammers/foh at the same time so the moment u stop to cast expect to get hit... they also use mind blast/shadow master too in case u forgot... worse comes to worse tho grief always helps
hmm?? my foh oriented mage got 19 points infoh and 20 in hshock. It means that i got 200 dmg lower then pure foher. its all about gear you want to wear.6. if a mage is more foh orientated it will not have the same damage as pure foher... if that was the case then why isnt foh-orientated mage doing 8k+? pure fohers can even get higher dmg than that so i dont kno wat ur talking about
eu nld with my mage. Every bvc is welcome to whisp me. Mainly i use 28 dr vs bvc.7. u obviously never dueled a good bvc before... i win vs most but i lose to a few... what realm are u in again?

y its all about personal preference, ie. i dont like switching especially when im facing ele dru. I also dont like using mana pots becouse im dueling in legit legue also(mana pots are not allowed in it).9. one point in meditation is optional... some people prefer to mana pot and some people prefer to use that extra point to help the damage that is crucial to being a mage... i personally use a cta scepter with +3 meditation so that saved me an extra point
you descripition says about conv bug. All semi decent foher have maxed convition becouse it gives them adnvantage in tvt games. conv trick will negate opponent conviction when you have LOWER conviction lvl. foh trick negate opponent stock resi(anyway its close to imposible to do it - i still need practice-.-).10. conviction trick? foh trick? throw trick? if u are talking about overriding your opponents conviction with a higher lvl conviction of ur own i personally think those points into conviction would be a waste... most fohers will max conviction or overshoot the lvl 25 cap by a few points... as for v/ts u will have a higher base conviction than most of them so...
thats what i called throw lock.as far as namelocking i guess i never really got in-depth with it but its fairly simple to do just a bit hard to master... just drag ur cursor over to ur opponent and once u left click on him hold it... as ur holding the left click still switch to throw real quick and teleport with ur right click and u should be right on top of him... in most cases be ready to hammer after a namelock teleport (extremely useful vs druids when they run away to recast summons)

This build maybe expensive, but its the best build to maxamize ur Hammer and still keep 5k Foh.
