D1 Swords: Difference between revisions

All one-handed weapons have the same swing speed in Diablo and Hellfire. (May be boosted by faster swing modifiers.)

Swords deal 50% bonus damage against animals, making them very effective in the Catacombs and Caves, where animals abound. Hell and the Crypt are mostly filled by Demons, who suffer no special extra damage from swords.

Swords are the weapon of choice for most melee characters in Diablo and Hellfire, since the top types of swords deal more damage than any of the blunt weapons.

The Barbarian can use the Two-Handed Sword and Great Sword one-handed.
