Y.A.W.P's Warcraft Themed Mafia Game Sign-up Thread

I figure I'd give my hand a try at hosting a Mafia Game.

I don't think I can be as eloquent as ThunderCat or as creative as Gorny, but I'll give it my best shot.

I know this is Diablo, but I couldn't really make a Diablo game work.

Please vote in the poll when you sign up. It will determine which side the town is.

If the poll doesn't work, just post your favorite in your sign up post.

If I remember correctly, only Leo is currently in the line to host. She has said she would be busy, but she can confirm herself if that is still the case. YAWP said he could host next just as the last game ended.

By the way, there is a certain policy at mafiascum.net which we could try here as well. All large themed games must be reviewed by another, experienced moderator. The purpose of this is to ensure balance, patch loopholes and prevent potential deadlocks and game-breaking strategies. This is not specifically directed at YAWP - my games here, especially my first, also suffered from balance issues. We could implement this so that someone who is not able to play could look through what the moderator has planned, to ensure an enjoyable game.

Oh, and I'm probably going to play. I'm fairly clueless in WoW matters, but I'm familiar with Warcraft 1 and 3. I should probably hunt down Warcraft 2 some day as well.

I like your idea Feysal. And considering I'm far from a fan of the Warcraft lore, I would gladly help YAWP if his game is indeed next (from a balancing point of view, nothing that has to do with the lore though).

On mafiascum.net no, and I don't see how they could play here either. Being familiar with the setup would prevent one from playing, unless the setup was public knowledge.

Mafiascum.net has a requirement of a backup moderator or co-moderator for every large themed game. Sometimes a third player may function as reviewer.

Alright. In that case this is what I'll do:

I'll keep sign ups open until either we've reached a minimum number or we don't get enough.

Once we get the minimum number, I'll see who wants to co-moderate, select someone, and go over the roles with them. In that time, I'll keep sign ups open until everyone is happy and/or a set amount of time has passed.

Edit: Alright, I'll use TC. I'm working on the roles right now and I'll send you a preliminary draft once I'm done. Should be within the hour.
