WW in general, or for sins, how does it really work?

WW in general, or for sins, how does it really work?

Ive been reading how you get more hits for ww if the two weapons have different weapon speed than if they had the same.

example, chaos suwayyah and fury suwayyah would have lesser hits than a chaos suwayyah and fury runic talons?

if this is the case, so would runic talons be the best choice? others have suggested feral claws.

is there any proof of this? i havent seen any barb guide that talked about it, or am i blind?

Thanks!

Was wondering the same thing on the different weapon speed thing, but the guy who mentioned it, I haven't seen in ages.

That for one is not true. They operate independantly, and if both hit the 4 frame breakpoint then you get double the amount of hits when there are two or more targets in range.

IIRC all Claws hit the last breakpoint with Chaos, and it has 35% IAS. Fury has 40%, so all Fury claw hits every 4 frames with WW too.

that is consensus that people have, but toader and gvandale objected.

if you want to read about it, type kodachi in the search, look for his ww guide thread, its on the first page.

After reading through the thread I didn't see any facts that would explain that using different base speed claws would get more WW hits.

Normal dual wielding has changed, but not WW. As long as a claw reaches the 4 frame breakpoint it as good as it gets.

i have used chaos suwayahh and fury suwayahh together before, but then i tried chaos suwayahh and fury feral claws together. I found that the feral claws+ suwayahh hit alot more then just the suwayahhs.

Exactly how do you know that it hits more?

im not sure if using runic with suwayahh is better than using feral with suwayahh, but i use feral cause of the more dmg. I remember one guy said it didnt matter wut the speed of the other claw was, as long as it was different from the first claw

i duel most of the time with my friend's barb with 20k def( I have about 12k-14k ar) , we have WW duels for fun most of the time, and when i was using dual suwayahhs i felt that i didnt hit him that much at all, and the OW was doing all the work.
But when I switched to suwayahh/feral claws, i found out that i was hitting alot more often, and since i was hitting more my venom was killing him instead of my open wounds...

i can finish this debate easily, im playing a D2 mod called Valhalla, currently i use a chaos warfist and an eth cruel warfist...warfists having the slowest speed of any claws (+10) hit the same amount as every other claw ive tested.

Chaos Warfits ???? must be a joke or your mod allows war fist to have 3 sockets ??

I think the "Gul" in the fury with it's 20% ar might make it look like u hit more... same amount of hits, but more actual HITS :)

WW speed with 2 weapons used to somehow average... so using a fast weapon (6 shael? :P ) while some slow "actual" sword, The Grandfather for one, in the other hand would get more hits than it would on its own... or with 2 Grandfathers... and my info is most likely outdated by a year or two

ok, after some testing in the bloody foothills, i could not see a difference between the two

i used a runic talons chaos and a runic fury
then a runic choas with a scissors fury

i ww'd through packs of enemies and i did not see any difference

maybe its just me

did u miss the part where i said im playing a mod?....

this debates over, exact same speed for all claws and the modder didnt change the speeds of the claws or the speed for WW.

20% ar isn't noticeable to the naked eye. Look at the chance to hit before and after. It ticks up like 1% or something. More likely to matter would be a -25% target defence. Also, ww seems to have this property of being itd when your opponent walks into it (seems to be the case from my PvP duels), perhaps there is some stuff going on that is deeper than weapon speed, etc. that goes to the game code itself (perhaps being a bug, perhaps not) and is simply not going to be fully understood. I'm not a ww expert so I'm just throwing that out for comment. Feel free to cut me a new one if I'm wildly off-base.
