What is the best way to find/get 2 OS +3PNB wand besides trading (I don't have many good trades yet? I currently have in my possesion a +3 PNB Grim wand (at least I am pretty sure its a grim wand, has the skull) with no sockets. Non-ladder, so I don't have access to that nifty recipe (ral+amn+pamethyst+normal weapon), can I use Larzuk to get 2 sockets. I have read that Larzuk gives the item the max number of sockets allowed by the item, is this true?

+3 PnB is the Venomous Prefix and only exists on magical items. Perhaps you were referring to +3 bone spear/spirit? Also i am rather sure that recipe for socketing normal weapons works off ladder as well? Good places to find 'White' worthy wands are Act 2 normal from Drognan from in town and think i have found a few in normal cows If u have found a plum of a wand with all the right staff mods then IMO a socket job from Larzuk isn't too big an investment - cheers and hope i helped ^^

Also make sure the wand you find is capable of having two sockets - a regular wand (like the one you start with) are only capable of one socket. Check here for socket info: Normal Wands.

Thanks for the reply. Damn, I thought I had found a really good wand. I will give Drognan a look. So just for reference Larzuk will always put the max number of sockets in a item?

For non-magical stuff yes, though you have to factor ilvl in: http://www.purediablo.com/items/sockets-list.shtml

Magic items get one or two sockets, randomly chosen, equal probability.
Uniqes, rares and set tems will only get one socket.

In all cases, you'll have to factor in the max number of sockets for the item type (eg no sockets for javelins).
Item's that already have sockets can't get more sockets from Larzuk.
