you can find 4os staves in NM, and maybe later norm.
or you can use the socket quest on one that falls in nm and make your own.

8-player games, low-MF, cow runs in normal difficulty is my guess... but yes, the Larzuk quest is a good idea in some cases too.


BTW, what is the staff going to be used for? There are different ones that are optimal for different tasks.

Was going to use it for +8 ES buff on MEmory. How does the socket quest work? Other good mods on the staff would be good as i plan to use the staff as main for a long time.

But i have found a four open socket staff w/ points in ES and chilling armor, but in hell. Hell would be optimal if you want normal items to get good mods.

Lazuruk quest basically adds sockets to an item. If you read the items section on purediablo.com, items max sockets depend on the item level. If you find an armor that can have 3 socs if found in norm and 4 socs if found in hell, then you try to hunt the one best suited. Then wen you use the lazuruk quest on the item, it will get max sockets depending on what I stated before.

Or jus skip the whole process and find an already socketed staff w/ good mods.
