Whats the best ww weapon?

I would say the 'ultimate' ww weapon would be an upped ribcracker. I can't remember if it hits the last breakpoint, but it looks cool and different. Nice range too. Just my 2 cents

Grief is one of the many new whacky runewords released on ladder.Its eth/tir/Lo/mal/ral-The craziest mod is its +~400 dmg-that is to both minimum & maximum dmg,giving it an outrageously high avg-much higher than the best botd.Add to that 20% deadly & defense cut.It outperforms the best botd & the insanely expensive 280% eth cleaver.Hands down the best 1-handed weapon in the game.Check arreat summit runewords page.

The ias is random,you need 34% with a zerker,if you cant take the gamble,make it in a zweihander(easy to find a 5 socket one),you'll hit lwbp regardless of what ias you roll with grief,since zweihander needs just 24% & grief's minimum is 30.

Eth razors edge has pathetic damage compared to grief, and the 50% ds makes the critical strike from mastery completely obsolete =(

Huh? Its 98% chance to d3(Deal Double Dmg:I just invented this ) with 22 mastery & 33/15 wrath/gores.So it doesnt make cs from mastery obselete.

The 22% from the mastery effectively adds an additional 0.44% chance for double damage. That's very close to pointless to me.

erm..I was just pointing out that using Razors edge doesnt necessarily mean a double dmg overkill.After your post I think thats not what he meant.True, the bonus of cs from mastery seems insginificant,but that cant be classified as a disadvantage or make mastery pointless especially since there is no overkill & mastery has other benefits.

being tiny works in its favor.It can be used to target the tiny but vital part(s) of the monsters.

well for nl i thought the 50% deadly and 50% ow has a consistency that botd lacks. plus, its small and looks cool i know it does less damage than either botd or grief, but still ...

a real problem sometimes is u a get a string of puny hits that does next to no damage and doesnt hit-recover stun either... eth razoredge actually has a greater rate of stunnage that botd does... and the open wounds ensures it does SOMETHING.

At level 95 you have 100% deadly strike =)

Anyway, RTB got my point completely, the critical from mastery is wasted (i.e. you get better damage with other weapons). It's the same reason as why botd has better avg dmg than eth dc if you use highlords+gores......

Best 2h - BOTD...which? Great Poleaxe, but lately i was thinking about War Pike as best for a bvc-er in a hit&run tehnique on a barb with fcr to use vs casters that tele arround like crazy. I acually saw 1 barb using a BOTD TM like this with good result - he must have had really good ping as he almost killed my botd/beast bvc-er.
