What's a better LF or LS?

I have some etheral titans I'm planing to put to use but I was wondering what Javazon skills are more effective for the end run of the game (hell mode). Would a synergized build around LS be better than LF? What about Jab, 1 point or Max it out?

LS sucks. This coming from a guy who wishes it didn't suck, because it looks damn cool. When it comes to mass killing, LF beats this skill no contest.

Jab deserves one point only.

You use lightning strike when you have to hit a single target... but why use that when charged strike is available and does tons more damage.

Lightning Fury + pierce is simply incredible. I've found that at time a single javelin can kill way upwards of 10 monsters. As Jack said, LS is good for single targets but Charged Strike is so much better.

A single point into Jab will be all you need. It's only used as a killing skill until you get charged strike. You dont even need it for LIs, as the physical from your javs, your merc, and your valk will be more than enough to kill any.

What's wrong with LF. It works great, has better damage than 1-hit of LF (with synergies).

For titans, LF is the best skill for it since there's replenish, mana leech etc.
USe Tstrokes for LS instead.
The 3 skills all require different situations.

LF: Lots of tightly bunched monsters (cows)
LS: Lots of spread-out monsters (pits, etc)
CS: Small groups/1 on 1 esp large monsters.

If course you can use only 1 skill in each situation but it doesn't discount the fact that LS works better in some situations than others.

I just wish Cresent Moon worked in spears, then LS would be the best skill..

I agree 100% with Sunbearie, there are times when LS is much more cost-efficient than CS and LF.

Sunbearie, if there are monsters available to pierce, then LS loses a lot of its appeal. LF will double its damage for each pierce.

LS is a worthwhile skill, though it is easily outshone for large groups by LF. I have a pure-lightning zon who utilizes LS, LF, and CS, which all are very helpful in some situations. LF is the best against large packs of monsters, while LS is good for cleaning up stragglers left behind by LF. Charged strike is the best against solo monsters and bosses.
