What to put in sockets

What to put in sockets

I have never done much socketing. I wanted to get opions of what to put in these weapons:

1. IK Maul w/2 sockets, maybe steel runeword?
2. IK Helm w/2 sockets, maybe lore runeword?
3. Boneslayer Blade Gothic Axe w/1 socket, maybe shael or amn.
4. Bonehew Ogre Axe w/2 sockets, maybe steel or strength runeword?

Any other ideas would be welcomed.

Also I imbued a chaos armour and got a Blood Flange CA. def 504, 47 ED, 14 life, 17 fire res, magic dmg reduced 2, with 2 sockets. Can I upgrade this armour with cube receipe? If its upgradeable, will it keep sockets? Ideas on what to put in sockets? Maybe smoke or stealth runewords?

No runewords can be done in magic, set, rare or unique items.

Well that SUCKS!!!!

If it has sockets, you should be able to put runewords in it. :rant:

Smart programming.. and for Ikmaul go with 2 shael, helm go with ed/str, Boneslayer I have no idea, maybe shael if it helps your ww speed or whatever char, Bonehew you could go ed/str, amns, shaels, ed/ias.
