what is best merc for shifter druid in act 2 (any difficulty)

What is the best merc and:
If runes and sockets were not an issue. what would be your pick for act 2 merc armor (straight runes no eth bugged blah blah)?

And what would your pick be for act2 normal, prayer??? (combat) merc?

Merc armor: Even if not ebugged, fort is still king, next are stone and GAngel.

For act 2 normal the best bet would probably be Blessed Aim if you don't have angelic combo IMO. Defiance is alright if you're playing a Summon Druid.

oh, prayer. I don't think the description affects the AI any.

Depends:

Crowd Control = NM Defensive

Damage = Hell Offensive

Fort is the best armor for the merc.

Prayer Merc for Normal. CtH doesn't begin to scale ugly for you until NM and Defiance won't do anything. Prayer at least helps against poison.

all quests to hell are done. except nithalnik nm. prayer is helping me but someone told me that was the lamest and Use defiance. with my 1 hand and shield it has helped me keep using maul and shockwave, as my mana is always there. Do I need a diff merc in HC?

Do you have an "Insight" on your Prayer Merc? If not, consider taking advantage of the extra boost that the Meditation on "Insight" gives to Prayer--the synergy helps you heal a lot faster.

yes I have insight which is why I was using prayer. But it seems ppl are telling me prayer isn't that good. Just curious as what Might be better for nm and hell? my merc is doing 1100+ dam right now. Someone also told me they max at 1500 is this true? and would that cap affect fort since it gives 300% enhanced dam?

mercs can do way more then 1.5k damamge thats not true theres no cap like that

1: And what would your pick be for act2 merc? was using prayer but I thought maybe more dam would be better, and just use more pots, so I tried defiance, and there is some xtra dam, but I'm only hitting common and uniques 65-75% in act 3 I'm thinking I should get blessed aim for AR. Opinions? and should I try a diff polearm than the insight?

2: I have an azure wrath, a phoenix, and Diamond sock SS. I am not using the phoenix, right now and someone mentioned in game maybe giving the phoenix and azurewrath to a merc and I use SS and something else. If I went that way what weapon should I swing? And do u think thats a better move than act 2 merc? I'm Runnin a summoning hunger/mauler bear.

I would use a Holy Freeze merc for crowd control. IMO that's better than a little bit more damage.

Phoenix + Azurewrath on merc? Then you mean act 3 merc and I'm quite sure it does'nt beat an act 2 merc.

Your weapon could be a caddy with 3*ed/ias jewels and one Lo rune. Or you can just get one more azurewrath.

Act 2 Might, though, with SW, you can go for style and use just about any merc. Like Lawbringer Act 5 Merc ;).

u think might is better thane blessed aim? and what is lawbringer act 5? as in a lawbringer weapon?

Blessed Aim does nothing for you. And I meant Act 5 Barbarian with Lawbringer Runeword Sword.

well w/ my AR being low as poop, I thought w/ hunger that bringing the ar up so I hit bosses more, would kill much quicker.

Just get your AR from charms and jewelry then.
