werewolf weapon/armor?!

I got a fury/rabies wolf, and I wonder what weapon and armor I should use on him. I read most of the guides, but this is in SINGLE PLAYER, so don't come yelling "eth tombreaver with a zod and 2 40 %ed/15 ias jools.
For pvm, I will use my newly found ribcracker =), is it a good idea too upgrade it for hell btw, and if so, upgraded? and whats the recipe?=)
But, I'm going to do some pvp with friends and such as well, and the ribbie soesnt really cut it since cb sux in pvp, so what, realistic, self-foundable, weapon do you suggest? I'm only 2handed and got a plauge bearer on switch for rabies.
best I can come to think of now is a bonehew of a reaper, but I think I could, maybe get a tombreaver.
and what armor? obvously I cant make a fortitude in single player.

thx in advance

hmm the best self find items I can think of off the top of my head would be probably bonehew and shaft. it really depends on if you want 2hand weapon or one though.

Recipe is Pul+Lum+Perfect Emerald+Weapon. I'm not sure if it's ladder only, or if you can do it single player. It will be req. level 51 after upgrading and it will be an incredible weapon for PvM Hell. A perfect one does around 400 average damage when upped.

Oath runeword would be an excellent option for PvP. If you are lucky enough to get a Mal at the Forge, it's very attainable.

Also, a great armor to bump your defense up would be Prudence. You are going to need another one of those pesky Mal runes, but in an eth glitched armor you can get close to 3000 defense. I can't think of any other really good ones for single player off the top of my head, so hopefully someone else will chime in.

oh, Oath is indeed a nice idea, didnt think of that one, in what weaponf should I put it? I want to go 2-handed, thinking of a giant tresher, maybe (just gl to me finding a 15% sup, eth one with the righ number of sockets;), will prolly have to use a non-eth, no-sup :/).
And I knew the upg. recipe works in sp, just not what it actually was :P

Oath only works in 4 Socket Swords/Axes/Maces. Go with the fastest two-handed weapon you can get. A Balrog Blade works well, but the requirements are a bit high. However, you are guaranteed 4os from Larzuk and they are not too hard to find. Also, no matter what you do, please make it in an ethereal weapon (superior is totally optional).

Formula = Shael + Pul + Mal + Lum

hmm, oh I see, I wanted a polearmone :/, are there any less requiering options? I could still opt. and go for the blockroute, but that means less damage, and I will have lots of life and I want range :/, maybe I go for a balrog blade and make sure to max lycan and oak, to keep up the life as much as possible =)

A Champion Axe would be the best, 157 str. vs. 175 str. for an Eth Balrog Blade. The problem is that you would have to get lucky enough to find a 4os one or roll 4 sockets using the formula, because it can get up to 6os.

The good news is that hard points in life aren't worth too much (2 life), so charms and gear are better sources. Speaking of which, Lionheart is a very good armor for boosting both strength and life.

champion axe or feral axe (big damage no dex req, big str req) will do fine with a Oath, but an upped shaeled ribby is godly. all of them give you 5fps fury.
for armor duress is good, shaftshop is still good, or even that 1.11 rw in armors with +2 to amazon skills for + to critical stryke your werewolf will do double damage and that's all about. check my thread for a SP werewolf

ok I'll check up on that now, but is really a ribbie (even up'd, shealed) doing any good in pvp? :)

edit:
Nebux, I cant find that thread, I mass-searched but, no.
