Werebear Help

I say, go with the IK set. The weapon can get to a nice speed AND will deliver enough elemental damage for you to forget about anything else. Besides, all the bonuses you will get from boots, belt and gloves are just irresistible. If you wear an IK armor, then you are set for good.

Go for HoW, big shockwave, and rest in dire wolves to raise bear life.

Not to hijack the thread :), but I'm making a Werebear too, and I'm wondering if it is possible to deal good damage and a good survivability rating if I put ALL my stat points in strength. I'll let lycantrophy and Werebear take care of my life, mana leech of my mana, Maul and HoW of my AR and thus max strength for optimal damage. Is that possible?

Maxing Str for damage is kinda pointless unless you're only trying to show off that you can have 400 more damage than the next guy. In game it won't matter. As in, you need to swing 3 times with most of your points in vit and you need to swing 3 times with all of them in Str.

So, where is the Werebear? :) Or do you suggest me putting 1 point into it and let +skills do the rest?

I've never seen any reason to put more than one point in werebear and lycanthropy. You have shockwave instead of defense and the damage from fireclaws overshadows any damage you'd get from the skill. Enough +skills will give you more than enough life and duration as well. I do the same on my wolves.

It's a preference call. I made my bear a real tank with loads of physical damage because that's how I imagined the chr, and it worked out great. I'm sure your version would work well too (except to fire immunes I guess), but I just couldn't live with making a paper bear

This is what I was going to say yesterday. My old bear used only 3 parts (maul, boots, gloves) with string, shaft/valor, Jalals, Raven, Highlords, BK ring or a dual leech, and I loved him to death.

His skills were:
20 WB
20 Lycan
20 HoW
20 Maul
10 Shockwave
1 Carrion vine (dies a lot in hell though)
1 Grizzley
rest (if you get to a high lvl) Dire Wolves

He used a Demon Limb Enchant charges to help his ar which was around 12k and everything else is pretty self explanatory I think.

Good luck :)
