Weapon Switch for Pure Light Javazon

I'm slowly working up my Javazon.. first time java build, I've always played bowazons, anyways...

I'm doing ok with finding equip for her since I have MF sorc, but I'm struggling to figure out what I should do on the equip switch for LI's. Should I go with a huge dmg spear Botd war pike for an offensive build or a demon arc and shield for a more defensive build?

Anyone out there try both setups can share their thoughts?

I use eth Demons Arch + Tiamats Rebuke shield and just jab away. Takes little time for me and my merc to kill LIs.

I've tried the Demon's Arch + Tiamat's Rebuke on switch and it works well. It's now my preferred method to dispose of LIs on my Javazon. You can either move in to Jab or if the critter is LE or has dangerous mods, then you throw at it until it's dead. Socket Tiamat's with a nice fire or cold damage jewel if you'd like more elemental damage. (Not lightning jewels even though they do the most damage, because you're using it against LIs.)

My Java used to have lvl1 FA and and an option of bows on switch (mainly an eagle) but I mainly just used to jab. I found that with enough strength, tgods, upped titans and a storm, I could get up close and personal with just about anything and take em out pretty quickly (even in larger games) without getting hurt much at all - and I'm talking standing in a pack of gloams jabbing away - FA was amazingly handy at times tho, especially in Chaos (Ghosts) and WSK (Gloams). I always toyed with the idea of building another and trying 1 point strafe and maybe a wws. If you're sticking purely to the jav tree tho then that demons/tiamat combo sounds like it would speed up the killing. I wouldn't go spear just because I'd be wary of close melee without a shield...but then, I never tried it..so..
Also, something to consider, is if your javs and mana are up to it then LF can do a huge whack of Phys dmg too - just spam 'em 'til the pack thins and go in for the jab.

I agree with Krem and Maiku on the Demons arch + Tiamats Rebuke.

I use that switch combo, too, and it works pretty darn good.
