Wand for White

What kind/number of mods can you get on a wand? And by that I mean a wand that could be made into the runeword white. Mostly I am interested in whether you can get +to all skills AND +to bone spirit on a socketed or normal wand that could then be made into White.


edit: I realize that a wand would have to be "white" to be made into "White". Thus my question said a wand that can be made into a runeword. So, FB says you can get those mods on a white wand. But MM says no. Any other votes on this.

To get pluses to all skills or skill trees, a wand have to be blue (at least), and so unsuited for runewords.

You can, just make sure it is white with 2 sockets. I shopped in act 2 norm for mine, since it has the best chance of white socketed wands, and since wands can spawn with +skills and other mods (i think the max is 2 mods? not sure though) you should find 1 that is good. Or you can just go to cows until a socketable one drops.

As you adventure, pick up every white wand and check it for skills. The best you can get is +3 to 3 skills, just like every other staffmod item, IIRC. When you find one you like, socket it with the quest. I'm not sure where the breaking point is where every wand will get two socks from the quest.

This is correct, but it is certainly possible to get +1-3 levels on up to 3 different necro skills on a non-magical wand--therefore it would be possible to get +3 to bone spirit on a runewordable wand.

Bear in mind that it is IMPOSSIBLE to have, for example, a wand with +3 Bone Spirit and +3 Summon Skeleton, because only low level wands can have level 1 skills, and only higher level wands can have level 30 skills. The exact formula is a bit complicated, so aim your target accordingly.

Would it then be possible for example to get spirit, spear, and golem on the same wand? I'm building a bolemancer (yes I just made that up) with clay golem but otherwise is a general boner nec.

I think the confusion comes from â€those mods†and “+ to skillsâ€.

You CAN have a gray wand with +3 Bone Spear, +3 Bone Spirit, +2 Corpse Explosion.

You CAN NOT have a gray wand with +3 Bone Spear, +3 Bone Spirit, +2 Poison and Bone Skills. Such a wand would be blue.

You CAN NOT have a gray wand with +3 Bone Spear, +3 Bone Spirit, +2 Necromancer skills. Such a wand would be blue.

You CAN NOT have a gray wand with +3 Bone Spear, +3 Bone Spirit, +2 All Skils. Such a wand would have to be a Unique.
